Omg, I am so happy right now I'm crying. After days of not being able to find my baby's heartbeat on the doppler I just did! I am 9 weeks 3 days so I knew it was early but you can't help but be disappointed and a little worried when every time you try you can't find it.

I read on a board this morning (either this one or another I'm not for sure) that making sure you have a full bladder and slipping a pillow under your hips helps, as it helps slide the uterus slightly up and out from behind your pelvic bone and it worked! I had to jump on and share in case there is anyone out there like me having trouble finding it.

I have read that you shouldn't use the doppler more than once a day and only for a few minutes, so I've only been trying once a day, but has anyone talked to their doctor about doppler use and what is safe? I have my appt on the 1st and will ask then but I know DH and kids will want to hear it later but I want to be careful about over use.

Ok, just saw original post where I saw advice. It was this board and it was from GiftsfromGod. Thank you so much!

Oh YAY!!! And thank you for sharing your advice! I've never had a doppler, so I'll have to live vicariously through you!

Glad to hear the tips helped They are things I discovered from trial and error with using the doppler for a couple pregnancies. It is such an amazing sound to hear that little heartbeat!

Congrats!! Very exciting! I want a doppler so bad! I am so close to just ordering one! I wish I would have told DH I wanted one. He spent too much on Valentine's Day and he could have just bought me one of those and have had lots of money leftover!!

How exciting glad you found it. I am not sure about ever over using a doppler the one I have is FDA approved so I am a little curious about over use.
