Does your belly feel softer when you lay down and harder and rounder when you are standing up? I am 16 weeks tomorrow.... I had an u/s Monday and the baby was moving everywhere and looked great!

Yay for seeing baby on u/s! Yeah my stomach is definitely harder and rounder looking when standing unless my bladder is full like in the morning and then its really hard

It's common at this stage for it to feel softer laying down, because your uterus can sort of "fall back" away from the abdominal wall then, since it still has room to do so. Several more weeks, and it'll be too big to fall back away from the ab wall! Whereas, standing it's further forward and you can feel it better. Unless, like Krista said, you have a full bladder because that will definitely push your uterus up and out when laying down, LOL!!!
