A friend posted this on Facebook and I thought it was worth sharing:

Happily After Giving Birth

I think someone had posted about this site before, but I don't think it was this article.

#7 is my favorite (and so true). There were many nights I looked at my peaceful, sleeping husband and wanted to inflict some kind of bodily harm upon him. I think I may have thrown a pillow at him a few times, LOL

good read.... Those aren't things people would really tell you... Kind of scary but ladies have been giving birth for years so hopefully I overcome those nasty after effects with a big smile on my face..... Because baby boy is in my arms.....

The part where she says that you'll be so focused on your new human that none of it really matters is SO true (minus PPD, that is serious and needs help). By the time I was aware of most of it, I was out of the thick of it and finding my feet.

Oy. Not much to look forward to on that list...Glad I'll have my little girl to distract me from it all.

LOL! It's all so true. But first time mommies, just remember if it was really just the most awful thing in the whole entire universe, nobody would ever have #2 (or more). It's worth it to do it once, it's worth it to do it again. But it does kind of suck while it's happening. Especially if you hate loose hair, like I do. I have a weird thing about hair ever since a nasty girl's (who lived in the dorms in college & would wipe her hair in the shower after it fell out) hair ended up on me during an extremely hungover shower.
