So...I'm 20 weeks, and already cannot sleep anywhere but on my left side. I don't remember this quite so early with my daughter.

I forget what the harm is in sleeping on your back during pregnancy? And the right side? No way! Not comfortable. Oy. Now I remember why sleep AFTER baby is sometimes easier to come upon than while still being pregnant...

Its perfectly safe to sleep on your right or left side. I was told by my midwife not to worry too much how i sleep since my body will stay in a position that's most comfortable. I always wake up on my back or stomach regardless of how i initially fall asleep so i can't do much about that. The reason they say to try not to sleep on your back is because it can reduce the blood flow to baby. That's great that you're most comfortable on your side!

I am mostly a side sleeper, but I like to lay on my back too. I know I always end up on my side though. I guess I won't worry too much about it. I told Geoff I would end up with bed sores, lol, from always sleeping on my left side. And, as for the Temperpedic, that would be awesome, but yikes, they are pricey!

Either side is fine to sleep on!

I am a stomach sleeper and can tell my uterus has moved up bc it has been really uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach the past few weeks, but this week I have been able to if I kinda prop my leg up a little bit so I'm not flat on my tummy! I know that isn't going to last much longer though!

I was also trying to remember when I started sleeping exclusively on my side last time. I'm having a hard time remembering any kind of time frame from the last time I was pregnant too!
