Mmmm.... Steak sounds sooo good right now! My hubby always cooked the steaks for us. I've tried and failed too many times to count, and it costs too much to go out and buy one from a restaurant. Is my baby telling me I need red meat? I hate cravings. When I get them in my head, it's almost impossible to get out!
I could have written this post this time last week. DH had heard so much about steak that by Friday I walked in from work, he grabbed my bags, put them down and pulled me out the door. He took me right to Longhorn and I literally ate everything that was put in front of me
Maybe not the red meat you're craving, but perhaps the iron??? Is there anything that you have on hand that is iron-rich that you can eat? Sorry you can't have your steak. I'm not a big red meat eater, but at my MW suggestion, I *try* to add one serving a week of a lean red meat. Something about the way your body processes the iron from the red meat is differently and more easily processed than from a supplement or veggies. Can you get a lean hamburger from somewhere? I know it's not the same but maybe it'll kill the craving a bit.
I had tuna in a red bell pepper. It was good and filling, and I was happy not to eat bread, but It wasnt what I wanted. My sister in law is pregnant. Maybe she'll go to the Japanese steakhouse with me this weekend. Mmmm! I love their shrimp sauce!
Mmmmm, I did crave steak at some point, but lately I've been craving horseradish mashed potatoes! I had some really yummy ones at a work event a couple of weeks ago and can't get them out of my head! LOL
