Hey all
Sorry I haven't been posting too much. I talked to my OB on Monday because I'd been having a lot of AF like cramping. It was every 8-10 minutes for 3 or 4 hours at a time and quite uncomfortable. She said I'm having semi-regular contractions and I'm on modified bedrest. I have to pick my girls up from school at the moment so I can't be on complete br. But I have to be sitting or laying down when I'm not picking them up. Fun stuff. I have an appt in 8 days and she'll check me then to see if anything is happening with my cervix.

oh scary! I hope they go away with the rest! When you aren't picking up your girls you better be staying put! The last thing you want is to be stuck in a hospital bed for the next few months on THEIR idea of bed rest! ! yucky!

How have your other pregnancies gone? Have you needed bedrest then? I really hope things slow down and your cervix doesnt make any change. Try to rest as much as you can! Keep us posted.

Thank you! I'm resting as much as I can. I have some offers for help with pickups so hopefully I won't have to be up much at all.

We had preterm labor with my DD2. She made it to 39 weeks but we had had contractions starting at 29 weeks and was 4-5 cms dialated and almost completely effaced at 34 weeks. DD3 was born 3 wks early but had a failed placenta - she stopped growing at 34 weeks and was 4lbs 11oz with heart, lung, and kidney issues.

I hope they let up after some bedrest and then you're able to enjoy a normal, semi-active pregnancy for the remainder. I'm glad you're having a lot of offers for help, that's great news. Rest as much as you can and keep us updated. Praying the contractions stop and there's no cervical change!

It is always so frightening when you have to go through this so early on. I was having the same issue yesterday and it stinks. Hang in there. Hugs.

Thanks everyone I'm very much looking forward to my 20 wk appt on Thursday. Hopefully she lets me up lol.

Friday night I had some terrible ones. They woke me from a dead sleep. I thought I had to pee but that didn't help them ease up at all. It was a few hours of minute long, every 6 or so minutes. My OB said if they didn't let up to go to L&D but after three hours they subsided some and I fell back asleep. I spent most of the day Saturday in bed then moved to the couch. My poor kids are missing getting out and doing stuff. And we're on vacation this week from school so they're not thrilled about being cooped up.

I hope you get good news at your appointment! Hopefully the contractions have been harmless as far as dilation and you can safely get up and get around again

Bedrest feels so non productive That is great that you have people willing to help!

I'm sorry that you are on bed rest. It really does suck. Especially when you have other kids at home, and they are wanting to have fun. I always feel like the fun ruiner when I am laid up. I hope that you get good news at your appointment!! KUP!
