I had my appointment this morning. First, let me say I hate early morning appts. I have to make sure to bring my girls somewhere (my moms today, usually school) and then drive through rush hour 45 minutes away to get there. Anyway...
I've gained 5 lbs in the last 4 weeks. That's also the only weight I've put on this whole pregnancy. I was 125 at my first and last appts and I'm 130.1 right now. My OB wants me to keep eating as much as possible and make sure I'm getting ALL food groups at each meal.
My youngest had a lot of medical issues at birth stemming from a failed placenta. She measured tiny at all her ultrasounds and when she was born at 37 wks she was 4lbs 11oz. My OB is super concerned about uterus size and baby growth this time around and ordered another U/S for Monday to check his size. She said my uterus doesn't "feel up to the weeks" and she doesn't think I look very pregnant lol. I'm not worried until she's worried, I'm just glad she's proactive this time around.
I've been having a problem where I feel like I'm disconnected from my body. Like I'm there, but not quite with it and feel like I can't focus but I'm functioning. She ran a bunch of bloodwork at my last appt and said that it all came back great except my blood sugar which was very low. She thinks that when I eat anything, my body uses up all the sugar fast and then my blood sugar drops. She said I need to find a way to keep the sugars in my body longer. I'm supposed to match carbs and sugars with proteins and cheese (dairy) as much as possible.
I scheduled my U/S for Monday, then I have my 24 week appt at the end of May with one of the other OB's in the practice (there are 3 and this other one delivered DD3) and also my 28 week appt and glucose testing. At my next appt they'll test my blood sugars as well.
Other than those things it was a pretty easy appt. His heartbeat is in the 140s and he sounds great.

I am glad your appointment went well! Hope everything turns out ok with the babies size! At least you get to see him again, right? I am definitely happy for you that the doctor is being proactive...that is always reassuring. Wishing you the best!
