I woke up today and my armpit was hurting and tender, as if I wore a wired bra to bed and the wire was poking into the arm pit all night, which it wasn't. There was no lump until I felt it just now. It's not at the surface, it reasonably deep below the skin.
I had one of these for 2.5 months sometime after I delivered my son. I told the dr about it and they said normally they would say it was nothing except it normally would go away after a month. The referred me to a different doctor but I canceled my appointment when it went away on it's own.
clogged pore? Maybe your nicked it when you shaved and the deodorant irritated it? Ingrown hair? If it hurts, try putting a hot compress on it to sooth. I've heard soaking a washcloth in a warm bowl with epsom salt helps too.
It could be a swollen lymph node. I had one swell for awhile when I had a minor infection. Our dr. said even a mosquito bite can cause one to swell. It's only a concern if it stays there for awhile or if it becomes real painful. Hope it feels better soon!
I've had a painful spot under my left arm a week ago. Usually my left lymph node area is tender once in a while (especially during AF). This time my massage therapist told me it's probably fron my breast muscles expanding and she called it "breast muscle compression". I've had DH massage it and it's better now.
