You live in Montana, right? Have you always lived out there, or did a job transfer you? Do you live in a subdivision or on some property?

I'm kind of a color addict, whether it be in paint, a photograph or food. I had a friend here who taught me how to make lipstick originally, and got me set up with an Etsy store and I took it from there, putting any revenue into building the business and then adding eye shadow that I've done with my own technique. I used to do custom matches or requests, but I just don't have the time anymore. I have learned a ton along the way and finally have some makeup I love 100% The best part of all this is making so many people happy. I have heard almost zero neutral or negative things about it. There was one person who had an allergy and someone else who just didn't care for it, but every other person who has tried it has fallen in love.

Actually, since we are both moving and having a baby this summer/fall I am selling off all my inventory and don't know if and when I will open again. Sort of through my efforts to make my pictures for my website better I have gotten hooked into photography and am taking classes in photography and editing and I love it like no other art I've tried. I'm too busy now to consider opening another business. I already am a licensed massage therapist and do that and cake decorating here and there. This next year is going to be the year of the "DO LESS!" I have a tendency to get my plate too full.

We have a rather loud and crazy house of 3 boys -

Brent, 8 who is too smart and smart-mouthed for his own good. He is also charming and delightful when he decides to grow up for a few minutes. He is my boy who can't put a book down. We had to chart his reading each month for school this year and with no prompting he had over a thousand minutes of independent reading easily every month. When he's not reading or sleeping he's a constant moving machine, which he started in the womb. We love him like crazy.

Adam, 6 is a sweet Kindergartner, so innocent. He is a like a floppy tornado when he runs around, never in a straight line and you always think he'll fall over. He is super cute and always surprises me with what he is thinking about. The flood of thoughts flow out uncensored and at a constant rate at this age. He is very intuitive about feelings and picks up right away on your mood. Instead of being overtly opposed to doing things, he sits and disappears into the background and waits for somebody to make him do whatever it is. He is very good at sitting still, as long as it is in a slouched position. He has some speech issues which we do ST for and possibly some sensory stuff going on.

Matthew, 2.5 is a delightful little fluffy haired green bean of a boy who doesn't like to eat food unless it is off Daddy's plate! Unless it's granola (pronounced like he is Italian - gra-na-NO-la). He loves that stuff. He is into "MY do it!!" He plays so quietly and is very good with other kids. It's nice to have one like that.

One great advantage to having multiple children is knowing just how different they come - with all their own personalities. Of course this challenges you as a parent, but it also helps you realize that some things are just not in your control. You can do what you can, but in the end it is the child's choices that form their life, not yours. You can enjoy them while they're in your home and guide them the best they can but ultimately they are their own person.

I wish I could tell you we have all this land and horses! But no, we are currently in a town house that we own and we will build this summer on a half acre that we got for a super great price. We are actually in Wyoming, but the winters are similarly frigid. Probably more so. Our winters are literally 2 months longer than Utah, just 2 hrs away. That's my #1 complaint here in my town of 1400 people. That and the schools are pretty set in the good-ol'-boys mode.

We came out to Rock Springs (armpit of the state, so they say) when my husband (Nathaniel) started a drywall business with his brother. He was in a master's program in psych and got sick of it. The drywall turned into entire houses, 5 or 6 at a time and then the market crashed and we went under.

That took us to this tiny town because they owned this town house already and if you're living in a place they bankruptcy can't take it away from you so it seemed like the smartest option for us. We had no job for months, no pay and things got extremely tight. Nathaniel got a job here in town in time (took like 2 months for them to decide after the interview!).

Wyoming is incredibly cheap compared to Utah, which is where most of our family is, so we will probably stay here until we become unreasonably wealthy (read: forever). What we can afford here to build a 5 bedroom house wouldn't even buy us a half a house in a slummy neighborhood there. Now that we're spoiled... it would be hard to go back to polluted air and no land.

The two hardest things here are 1) the weather and 2) the gas! Our closest shopping area is 45 minutes away and that only gets us to an overpriced WalMart and DollarTree. The next closest is 1:15min away, which is not a whole lot better, though they do have a few more things. Park City is about 1:40min away, same with Ogden. And then SLC is about 2hrs away, so if we want to do big shopping we go there and visit family at the same time. But one trip out costs $60 in gas, so it's not like we're hoping over there frequently.

And my house? I cannot WAIT to get into our house! We are still not 100% sure which plan we will use, even though we have personally designed all of the choices but we will likely end up with a 5bed, 2.5 bath, 1 car attached garage house with a mud room, a big living room and kitchen and really nice sized bedrooms. There is nothing I can complain about there. I'll try and post a snip of it here from our plan. The white thing is a fireplace.
Here's the main floor

And the 2nd Floor. We won't have a basement.

The top left room on the main floor is technically a bedroom, and will have sliding panels to close off the space or have it open to the dining room to make room for more guests. It will be a MOMMY room!! We've been in a 2bed town house or apartment forever so I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself!

What is the meaning behind your screen name? I think I remember you saying your real name was Beth? Or am I totally making that up?! lol

Also- your little boy Adam sounds very similar to Keira's personality! Is he a Scorpio?

Not a scorpio - he's an April baby.

And yes I'm Beth! Thanks for remembering Betty Earl is what some hotel in NY got my name wrong with when I was a sophomore in HS and since then I've used it as a screen name.

I'm neither a Betty nor an Earl so it was kinda panicking that they didn't have a reservation for me. Nobody else claimed Betty Earl so I did!

So, in my house with three boys, there is hardly ever any quiet. Are your boys just loud players by nature like mine? Does it feel like they are always going non-stop? I wouldn't change my fun-loving, loud boys for the world, just curious if other moms with a house full of boys experience the same thing?

(and I'll try to remember that your name is Beth from now on, LOL)

Oh man, it was such a strange sensation when the older two started being both in full-time school this year. Matthew is my quiet one and so just he and I at home don't make a ton of noise. Matthew is either on or off - he can make PLENTY of noise when he wants to, but doesn't come to it by nature - mostly he seems to be copying his older brothers.

So far this little chickie is a quiet kicker, so I'll let you all know how that turns out, ha!

And sorry about the confusion of my name, I used to have it on my siggy, and I should get a new one finally. I've only ever had 2 in the 3 years I've been on JM so I'm not too quick on these things. Now that I'm way better at PS Elements I could probably even make one myself.

OH, and I talked to DH about being team Green and it finally comes out that he would like to know! Well, I think it's just so sweet that he cares I'm not going to be disappointed and we will find out in a couple weeks then, whenever we can get our scan scheduled.

4. Have you ever won anything?

5. Do you have a favorite movie?

6. Can you share a piece of advice (related to anything)?

Yep, totally random I know! Lol, I think that just makes this more fun!!

1. Do you have any pets? My boys do A parakeet, a fiddler crab, a tiny frog and a molly (fish).

2. How did you meet your husband? We were in a class together in college, he asked me out one day and we got engaged WAY too quick, married 3 months later and our 10yr anniversary is in June.

3. What is your favorite thing or meal to cook? To cook? Or to have cooked for me? Ha! I like to bake artisan bread. It's so easy and everyone thinks I slaved away.

4. Have you ever won anything? I just won a onesie on facebook! It says "I just got here and I'm already AWESOME" Also have won a cheap camera, tickets to the zoo and free cheese??? lol

5. Do you have a favorite movie? I don't really. I don't generally purchase movies, we just rent them from Redbox or whatever once. But some I like to go back to like old friends... like Pride and Prejudice has to come out once every year or so.

6. Can you share a piece of advice (related to anything)? Advice? Hmm... Don't talk bad about your husband, but to take risks. If you are walking on egg shells, don't. It's better to deal with the crap before it starts to rot.

1. I have a ton of hobbies. Just a few years ago I had none, but I realized it was a problem that I didn't identify myself with myself, just how I relate to other people.
Now I am a student of photography, my #1 interest. I enjoy quilting so I take one day out of the month to get together with the old ladies. I do cakes and other art type stuff, my make up business of course and also massage therapy.

2. Favorite Beverage... Water? I also like a good lemonade or smoothies. Or a super yummy hazelnut hot chocolate with real whipped cream.

3. Guilty Pleasures - this. JM is one of them. Also, spending $ on photography classes or gear. Sure adds up in a hurry so I can't do that one too often.
