I didn't buy a diaper bag with my last baby, and I never really needed one. Do you all really use your diaper bags? I have a large purse that I use, and it works perfect for me. I have had it for 6.5 years, and it has been through three kids already. I just don't see the point in buying a new one when that one works just fine. It still looks great. The only thing I don't like about it is that one of the straps slides off my shoulder all the time. What do you like best about a diaper bag? Is there something I am missing by not using a diaper bag?

OUr diaper bag really became a "car bag" I rarely used it, and left it in the car most of the time. I can't find it since we've moved, so I am thinking I may have chucked it.

I used the cheap one that the hospital gave me (after I dumped all the formula samples out LOL)

I had a big bag with my first, and it had too many compartments and zippers and I could never find anything.

I do have a larger purse I got at a yard sale so I am planning to use that this time. I think it will be fine to hold a few diapers, wipes and an extra outfit.

WIth my first I bought a really cutsie one that lasted about 3 weeks before it tore..with my second I did the same but then when it gave out I bought a joe boxer beach bag made of I think vinyl and I still have that..with my daughter I bought a graco brown and pink diaper bag(because I wanted something girly for once) and its holding up fine but will not be large enough to hold diapers for her and her sibling as we're using cloth prefolds and they take up a ton of room..Not to mention that my daughter will still be on special formula when the baby is born in sept due to several health issues she has and poor weight gain..Im thinking for this reason I want to buy a jeep diaper bag..they are large and rugged and my sister has been using hers for 8 yrs.I'd completely skip out on most cutsie diaper bags because they just tear and wear out..Unfortunately I don't think I'll be breast feeding and if I do I'll have to pump exclusively..I may try again..but after all the pain and heartache of failing at bf'ing my daughter Im not sure I have it in me(long story)..

I did use my diaper bags. I found them very useful especially while having more than one baby at a time. I appreciate the pockets because I like to stay organized. I feel very irritated when things are not organized!

I think any bag big enough for what you need to carry would work just as well as a diaper bag. It doesn't have to actually be classified as a "diaper bag" If your large purse works for you then I say go with it!

I used the diaper bag provided by the hospital, it was perfect for us. Pockets for all the necessary bits and a back pack so it was easy to carry about. I found it yesterday with the various bits in it from almost four years ago lol (luckily no diapers) in the back of a cupboard and will use it for this one too.

Oh yeah and I like how organized I stay with it. I just bought a big one from Vera Bradley that has a lot of space and pockets. We go out and do things A LOT, so I need something for all 3 kiddos.

I am just going to get a large Coach bag and use that. I don't like loud prints. I just want something large and classic. They are a life saver when you go on outings. We are always on the go, so it is a necessity for us.
