Ouch, I'm hurting. The night before last I was checking on DD before I went to bed and she had left a pile of toys in her doorway. I tripped over them and landed on the door frame bruising my left forearm and left shin. It hurt, but nothing too bad. THEN last night, I was walking from my kitchen to my living room and DD had left one of her dress up costumes in the floor. I stepped on it and the silky material went flying on the hardwood floors and I basically did the splits, landing one knee down hard on the floor and then falling sideways onto a laundry basket. I bruised my ribs pretty good. Man I am sore today My entire left side of my body is bruised (between my ribs, forearm, knee and shin!) DH said I better watch out someone will think he's beating me Do you think it's pregnancy making me more clumsy? Luckily I did not hit my stomach either time, and the baby has still been moving and kicking today...but I don't know if I can take any more clumsiness!

Omg girl, be careful! Maybe it has to do with your balance? I have felt a little off balance lately, and I heard that pregnancy can do that to you once your center of gravity changes. Feel better soon!!

I do think pregnancy has made me more clumsy! I try to avoid situations where I know there is a high likely hood I will fall with my new found clumsyness the other day I avoided a whole section of the food court because it had a wet floor sign lol I knew the sign was there for me!

Oh no!!!!! Sorry you are huring. I hope you are all healed up soon. I am also clumsy during pregnacy. I fell during my last two kids' pregnancies, thankfully no harm came of it other than some bruises for me. I do think being pregnant makes us more prone to slips and falls, or more accurately, more prone to not being able to catch our balance and recover before we fall....
hope you feel better soon hun!

Ouch I'm glad you're okay! I am definitely more clumsy during pregnancy. Thankfully nothing major has happened but i trip on things, drop stuff all the time, run into walls, etc.

I'm sorry, Amy!!!! Hope you recover from the pain quickly. Pregnancy definitely effects your balance and makes you less likely to be able to catch yourself. I do some balancing exercises (not recommended for all pregnant women) to mitigate some of it, but I still feel more clumsy despite the exercises. Take care of yourself!

Whew...I didn't realize just how stiff and sore I was until I tried to lay on my left side last night. It was extreamly painful! I think I pulled a muscle around my shoulder blade on the left side also, because as soon as I laid on that side my entire back was hurting too. I ended up sleeping on my right side and then my back when my right arm was so numb I couldn't feel it anymore. The bruise on my ribs is twice as big and twice as purple today too I'm hoping it feels better before bed tonight because I don't want to deal with another sleepless night!

Oh my, lady! Do be careful!!!

Yes- I'm totally clumsy and feeling off balance lately! Something I do when I'm not pregnant all the time is pick stuff up with my toes instead of bending over and it's not been working too well lately! lol

Ouchie! And yes, I 100% think pregnancy makes you more clumsy... I am dropping stuff and tripping over stuff ALL the time now.

We were walking out of Wal-Mart this past weekend and there was about a 1 inch difference in cement and I looked back and was talking to DH and tripped and fell right on my knees (ouch!). DH said I'm no longer allowed to walk and talk at the same time

Oh my goodness! I'm sorry you are in pain and bruised up!! I agree 100% that pregnancy does make you much more clumsy!! When I was pregnant with my DS I tripped UP the stairs!! Who does that?!?! I had huge bruises on one leg from my knee down. My whole ankle was swollen and purple as well.

I hope the bruising and pain goes away asap!
