so for now I am on team green with strong leanings toward team blue.

Is it wrong to get a girly sling? I mean I'm a girl right? does everything for baby have to boyish?

I love the more girly patterns, but then I think maybe I should get something that could go either way, or just straight up admit it is a boy and get something boyish...

I think it's fine to get something girly like a sling or diaper bag if you have a boy, but also be prepared that some people will mistake the sex. Which is really not a big deal, but I saw a (very young) dad get fighting mad because someone thought his baby girl was a boy. As long as you are not that person, I think you should go for it!

haha, yeah, I'm ready for that - even when the boys were babies, decked out in blue, wearing a bib that stated "I'm not a girl" I got a lot of "oh she is so precious"

I tend to pick patterns i'm attracted to. Some of my carriers are quite girly.

I don't see anything wrong with getting a sling or diaper bag with a girly pattern. A lot of places make slings and what not with mommy patterns!! Have fun!!

I'd go for what YOU like to wear. Considering YOU are the one carrying/wearing it!

I got a couple items that were girly with DS#3 (like nursing cover, sling, etc). As long as it's not clothes then I don't think it matters. I said the same thing too... "I'M a girl!" As far as like carseat and what not, that would be a bit much but for things that are for YOU like the sling and diaper bag, get pink and frilly lol.

I agree that it is fine for you to pick a girly sling/diaper bag. Like the other ladies pointed out, it is something you are wearing! I think that is perfectly acceptable

LOL, someone asked me yesterday if Mia was a boy or a girl and when I answered "she's a girl," they reached out and tickled her and said "Ohhh, you're a good boy..." Um...okay then. I wanted to burst out laughing.

I don't think its the end of the world if you get a sling that has a girly pattern. I probably wouldn't pick straight up pink, but some type of flower pattern isn't so bad...maybe I'd pick something that could go either way. Even though you are planning for this to be your last little one...you never know!!!! And the sling is worn like part of your outfit, not the babies...so I think something a little on the girly side is fine.

I think it would be fine too, Ami! If it were me, I probalby wouldn't get a super flashy bright pink one, but thats mainly becuase that just isn't my style regardless. I actually have a really pretty black and white one picked out to get because I wear a lot of neutral colors and I was thinking I would want something that is going to match a lot of my outfits!

People used to call Keira a boy and I always had a headband or a bow on her head. It would drive me nuts! Who puts bows on boys?!?!?!
