I have been on a quest all day to find things for me to make for my little girl. I have found a lot of really cute crochet patterns. I put them all on my pintrest board, so if you want to check them out here is the link to the board Baby stuff. I plan on adding even more tonight when I have more time to look for things, and all of the things I have pinned on there I am going to make. I can let you all know how they turn out if you are interested. Enjoy!
Oh my gosh!!! I love the things you chose to make! I have totally fell in love with crocheted items this pregnancy They are so darn cute!! I want a pod (for baby pictures) and some of those beautiful large flower crocheted headbands! I've been looking on Ebay and have bid on a few but ended up not winning the bid.
I haven't crocheted since I was a kid, and I think I forgot how. I want to start again because it would mean so much more to make things myself. Do you think it would be hard to re-learn? Where do you buy your yarn? Do you get it for good prices?
From what you picked out I especially love: the diaper bag, dress, headbands, and pod; that's basically everything, LOL. So adorable!! I would absolutely love to hear how all of those items turn out!!!!
I buy my yarn when it is on sale at Michael's and Hobby Lobby. I also check JoAnn fabrics sometimes. Hobby lobby has a coupon each week that is for 40% off of one item per transaction, so if I don't have a ton of yarn to get I make dh go with me I use one coupon for one item, and make dh use another coupon for another item. If you have a smart phone you can just pull it up on there, and they will take it. It is easy to learn. I just use youtube videos to learn new stitches. I taught myself how to crochet with youtube. I can't follow it out of a book. I am a visual learner, so I had to see it to be able to do it. Also keep in mind that these are baby clothes, so you don't need a ton of yarn to make them. I'm sure the diaper bag will take quite a bit, but the rest of it should take one roll or less to make.
