Hello all, I hope this post finds you and your babes all well.
Just wanted to join the festivities and share that my little guy, William Eugene "Liam" was born this Sunday, August 26!
My water broke the evening before and unfortunately contractions just wouldn't start properly on their own so I had to have Pitocin throughout. I ended up pushing for roughly two hours and when all was said and done the doctor threw an absolutely beautiful 7 pound14oz, 19" baby into my arms. It was both the most difficult and most rewarding thing I have ever done.
We are all home now doing fairly well. Liam's Bilirubin is a bit high and he continues to get frequent heel sticks, but I have high hopes that as my milk has come in now it will begin to decrease.
Congrats to all the mommies who have had their babies recently as well and best of luck to those who continue to wait!
