I know that I haven't been super talkative on here but I have truly enjoyed reading everyone's posts during my pregnancy. My pregnancy situation has been a really difficult one that I didn't really want to publicly talk about but I think I am finally past that. How can I be sad with a brand new baby girl in my arms?
Anyway...Rylan Pearl was born Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012 (her due date) at 7:12pm. She was 7 pounds 8 ounces and 19 inches long. She is beautiful and took to breastfeeding like a fish to water (it's my first time too).
I will write and post my birth story soon. I have to pre-warn- it wasn't a very pleasant experience. Thankfully the outcome was worth the pain. I had read all of the advice/experience given on the board and thought I was prepared to assert my wishes, etc. but when the time came...I didn't.
Ya'll are also going to have to tell me how to make one of those cute picture signature things for the bottom of my messages. I am very technologically slow...lol
Ok...I FiNALLY got my birth story posted (better late than never...lol)! Thank you so much everybody for your warm congratulatory words!
Sharron- It's pretty neat that your son and Rylan are birthday buddies and that your daughter's birthday is just one day later. Thanks for the siggy information. I will hopefully get around to that soon.
Que- She was born at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville. What a disaster! The Director of Women's Services came to meet with me the day that I was released. He said he would talk to the nurse on duty when Rylan was born but I don't know if any action was taken. At one point he actually said "next time it will be a better experience" which made me laugh hysterically. #1 I am 42 years old...there will be no next times #2 even if by some amazing miracle there were a next time..they about killed me. I certainly wouldn't risk going through that at Eastside again...lol
