I'm so frustrated bc she won't burp sometimes. She downed a whole bottle without burping once for me tonight. I literally tried burping for half an hour. I'm scared she is going to throw up from not burping our be terribly uncomfortable. Help

Nope, my son almost never burped (and also almost never spit up). Abby on the other hand . . .

nope they dont have to burp, best to try winding him after each feed but if he not squirming or wriggling then he may not have a burp in there

My daughter never burped and never spit up. Emmett needs to be burped as if I forget he usually spits up a little.

Michaela doesn't ALWAYS burp every feed. Sometimes she does end up with gas when it happens, and we then give her a bit of Infacol before her next feed, it usually sorts her out. Other times she's fine without burping. And other times she burps like a trooper! I tend to find if she doesn't burp within about 10 minutes, she isn't going to.

Babies don't always need to burp. Cora is a messy eater and breaks her latch a lot. She normally does have a burp in there and a little milk will come up with it. If she doesn't burp i don't force it.

Theo doesn't burp that often and he doesn't spit up. I sometimes rub his back if he ate too fast and I think he may need to burp.

DS never burped and was perfectly content to sit and sip on the boob all night without ever throwing up.

DD on the other hand needs to burp or she will spit up, and if I let her stay on the boob to cuddle she will eat too much and spit up.. and imo it's a tonne of spit up lol. In fact I try to burp her before she eats just in case I didn't get it all after the previous feeding

Sometimes she just won't burp though... when this happens I just accept the fact I will probably be changing her clothes in the next 30 mins.

I feel a lot better knowing that a baby doesn't always have to burp. I thought I was doing something wrong
