I assume that HPTs stay BFP the whole time you're PG, right? So how long after birth will it still be positive? Just wondering, if I took one now it should be negative right?

POAS ~ HPT FAQ

...HPT's can even detect residual hCG for up to 6 weeks following a full-term birth.
It's FAQ#6.

Thanks. That's a long time, wow. So you can get a positive even if you're not PG again. So you'd really have no clue. Hmm...

Well I would if I had one... I DO, however, have a few hCG strips left and they DO turn positive when PG, I tried that while PG and it worked.

I have a stick I could pee on, but DD is 6 weeks today lol, so I'm guessing it'd be back to negative!

Hmm... I peed on a hCG stick and there was 2 lines, but one wasn't as dark, but still very much there.

so then you are pregnant again?? haha, it's 5:30 am and i'm only up because i just fed athena, so i'm very much confused as to whether you're pregnant again or it's just still measuring hcg from your last pregnancy.

Weird! Kind of a long time to be hanging on to those hormones I would think. Do you think you *could* be pregnant? However unlikely....its always fun to ponder

Your eggo is preggo I'm 5 days late for my period, which could be normal since it can take up to 12 months for your periods to return to normal, last months period might of been just stuff clearing our, I breastfeed and I have PCOS. But I was feeling a little anxious so I peed on an IC and it was negative. Granted I'm 3 months pp now.
