It has been a VERY long time since I have had a shower. It's a terrible curse that I need more showers than I normally do when I am postpartum. But when I am postpartum, I have LESS time for these very much needed showers. I am usually fine if I take 1-2 showers a week. But when I am postpartum, I need to take one at least every other day. It's been since Saturday. It's almost impossible to take a shower unless my husband is home and his schedule is crazy lately. I want to take one today, but I am afraid of what my 3 year old might accomplish during that time. He is destruction personified. And my other two children only amplify his efforts. Goodness me. The baby is so easy. He just drools, spits up, and hiccups. I never have to worry if he is about to blow my house up.

When was your last shower? I'm I the only grodi-gross person here?

Yea I'm nasty too. :/ I have been told its a breast feeding thing, but I sweat so much more now! It's gross!!! I'm a first time single mom that helps run a house hold and yea showers are not at the top of my list. I took a shower day before yesterday but before that it was like a week! Ugh I hate it. Especially since I am used to a shower every morning and a bath every night!
And even with my last shower it was just a quick one to wash up and shave my arm pits and that's it! It's like 80 degrees today and I'm in jeans because my kegs ate so hairy I'm sure I could give big foot a run for his money!!!

George watches Pippa each night so that I can take a 15 minute bath. I never actually get to blowdry my hair anymore, though. It's much easier for us since our other two children are older. They help out a lot.

I took one Monday... but I can go about 3 days before I'm asking my mom to come over to keep an eye on Summer so I can shower! I've tried once taking her in the bathroom with me in her bouncy seat, she did well for the first half of my shower and then got SUPER fussy.... I'd rather just have Nana come play with her

Sometimes George ends up bringing her in with me and I nurse her in the bathtub.

Yikes. I find a way to shower everyday, come hell or high water! I feel disgusting if not. I just wait for Ava's first nap and put her in her vibrating chair in the bathroom.

I can definitely see the difficulty of finding time to shower with multiple kids though.

Every single day. I cannot imagine not taking a shower, even if it is 5pm. I put Caleb in the bouncer or rock n play in the tub and let DD play with her toys. Or sometimes I bring her in the shower. (he doesn't have to go in the tub then.)

i've had a few gross days here and there. I'm finding I sweat a lot.... gross! I've been showering every 2-3 days. I'm pretty lucky though, DH is a SAHD. So if i really want a shower i can take one.

ETA- i took a shower today because i had a job interview.

Can you take your 3 y/o for a shower with you? Or take some toys into the bathroom and lock him in there with you?

I used to shower with my three year old, but it has gotten a bit more challenging. He is a busy busy high maintenance kid. I would spend all of my time taking care of him and wouldn't get a chance to clean myself. There is no lock on our bathroom door (we live in an old house and all of the door frames need to be replaced, you can push the door right open) and he wouldn't just stay in there with. I'm pretty sure he's adhd or something. We recently started him on the adhd diet and are giving him supplements to see if his behavior improves. He's a really good kid with a good heart and has good intentions, but he can't hold his head still long enough to hear instructions, let alone remember them. It's a rough situation right now. So yeah- no showers.

It's been tough to find time but I get a shower every other day at least. Even then the relief is short lived. I sweat so much that as soon as I'm done cleaning up I need another shower.

I am going on 3 days now. I can usually shower every-other-day as long as DH is home or Adalyn sleeps (she doesn't like her daddy right now), but as I was getting ready for bed last night I realized that yesterday was my shower day and I did not shower. Hah. Not that I could've - All Adalyn did yesterday afternoon and evening was nurse. . . But yeah, I am pretty **** stinky myself now. I agree that I need to shower more often PP but it's hard with 2 kids and DH's schedule!

I think Saturday was my last shower - maybe Sunday. I don't feel gross, but I am looking forward to my shower tonight. It's a nice time all alone. A shower is as rejuvenating as an hour of sleep.

I can't function without one - shower first thing every morning and sometimes a bath at night too

We have a nice big bathroom (almost as big as our bedroom) so I pile the toddler in there with the ipad or in the bathtub which sits across from the shower, and I keep the baby in her stroller or pack n play!

I shower or take a bath every other day if I can. I wait until the baby and my 2 other youngest children are a sleep and then I shower. I feel yucky if I go more than a couple of days without a shower.

I shower just about every day, either when Sophia is sleeping, the older kids are occupied, and I take Hannah with me, or when DH can watch them.

Every day! My toddler goes to bed at 6pm, Ben sleeps from 6 - 7.30pm then I wake him for his feed before bed... so during that time DH holds Ben and I can shower. It's the only time of the day I don't have a screaming toddler attached to my leg or a baby attached to my boob!
