I've never had to put more effort into losing weight other than working out when I could find the time and making healthy eating choices. I think since I'm getting older and maybe since this was my 4th baby, I am going to have to put more effort into things this time. I just signed up for myfitnesspal.com and downloaded the app to my phone. It allows for breastfeeding calories, which is a big bonus compared to others that I looked into.
Anyhow I'm interested to see what others are using, if you are using anything to help you or make things easier when it comes to diet, meal planning, calorie tracking, exercising, etc.
I lost 60lbs with my fitness pal before I got pregnant with Molly. I love it! I love the app because you can scan barcodes on any food and it brings up the nutritional information for you. Tomorrow is D-day for me and I'll be starting it again with some walking.
I'm using a Pilates DVD I've had since my first baby and also the workout schedule from the Five Factor approach. I can't do the Five Factor diet while breastfeeding but I can do the workout. I was in the best shape of my life using that book.
I use mycaloriecounter.com and runkeeper.com. I've done P90X in the past. While I'm training for long-distance running, I do the P90X ab routine, and I lift some weights and do some calisthenics for my legs.
