I've got to get this body going because it won't be long until we will be chasing these little babies around. Ugh! The hardest part is getting started and sticking to it. However ever since turning the big 30, I've been seeing this dieting thing more as a lifestyle change for me. I don't want my daughter to see me as I am now. I want her to see me as the fun mommy who plays at the park, takes hikes, and does a ton of activities with her. So I am starting this journey with you all. Eek!
I need some tips on exercise though. I need something that isn't long since Ella doesn't give me that much time.
there are lots of 5ish minute ones on youtube as well. I was going to do that before I decided to do the 30 minute shred (you ladies just kept going on about it so i had to try) at night instead
Changing your diet is a lifestyle change. My mom has always struggled with her weight. She would try to eat healthy but would eventually give in and start eating badly again. Recently she's discovered she is diabetic has diverticulitis and gallstones. She made MAJOR changes in her diet and has dropped about 30 pounds in two months. She actually couldn't wear any of her old clothes and had to go shopping for a whole new wardrobe. She feels great and she's really proud of herself. I'm really proud of her too. She says she'll never go back to eating the way she was. So yes, seeing this as a lifestyle change and not a temporary diet is the best thing to do. I'm doing the 30 Day Shred too and it's kicking m butt. My SIL says there are yoga workouts on instant on Netflix too. I haven't checked them out yet.
If you really don't have much time then jump rope. It burns a ton of calories in a short amount of time - like 2 minutes if you can go that long to start. It's hard but that's why it burns so many calories.
p.s. good luck
