I was surprised to see in the FF thread how few feelings they have. With my DD I nursed on demand and genuinely have no idea how many times per day that was. After being in the NICU with Emmett and having to keep track of everything, I downloaded an app which I still use. This week he nursed on average 12 times per day. Last week it was an average of 14 times per day.

I see in the FF thread people saying 4 , 6 ... 8 feeds. I know formula takes longer to digest but am I the only one with a baby still eating so frequently?

Summer nurses about 12 times in 24hrs. Some days we only have 8 feedings and sometimes we have up towards 16.

On the weekend, she sometimes nurses 20 times. During the week, it's about 12. I get up at the crack of dawn to nurse before work. Then she's basically attached to me from 6-11 p.m. with very few breaks.

Cora's a pretty settled baby. She often goes 4 hours between feedings. Teddy on the other hand nursed more than 12 times a day. I've seen both sides. Must depend on the baby.

My first went 3-4 hours between nursing, day and night. Adalyn on the other hand generally (I don't really watch the clock, I just kind of know at this point) goes 2-3 hours day and night between feedings. At night she only nurses on one side {I think it's more of comfort nursing for her} and during the day she'll still sometimes nurse on one side at once, or both other times..

During the week I pump and only BF at night since I'm at work but I would guess that Emily nurses about 10-12 times a day on the weekends. We usually give her 1 bottle of formula before bed and we didn't last night and she woke up 3 times between 10 and 6 to eat She is a hungry girl!

Elise eats every 2-3 hours, except at night, when she wakes usually once.

Every kid is so different. My two year old had reflux too and pretty much ate every hour all day long.

Rowan is so different. I could almost forget that he is around sometimes! He's just so low maintenance. He eats about 7 times in a 24 hour period.

I have no idea...lol. If I had to guess, I'd say up in the 12-ish range. He still feeds twice during the night and every 1-3 hours during the day. He falls asleep around 8ish, and wakes up when I go to bed (11ish) that I don't count as waking through the night. He power nurses though, each session is 10 minutes max, except when sometimes he starts to fall asleep, then he comfort nurses. So it doesn't feel like that much.

Noah is a hungry baby and still feeds every 2 hours so in the day and cluster feeds in the evening but at night he can go 4 hours between feeds. We have started giving him a bottle of formula in the evenings just to give me a bit of a break as it can get exhausting!

I don't count but it's a lot. I've fed him 3 times this morning and it's only 10am.

I feed on demand too. Last night he fell asleep at 8:30 and got up at 2:30. I nursed him, then he fell asleep until 5. He fussed for two minutes, another quick nursing session, then when he woke up at 7:30. I've nursed him twice since then. He's been sleeping for the past 2 1/2 hours.
It really depends on the day.
Oh, he is awake!

Ben generally feeds about 5-6 times during the day, has a dreamfeed at 11pm, then another once or twice before morning... So 7-9 times in a 24 hour period. Jacob was the same during the day but wanted to feed more at night.

I don't keep track but on average I'd say 10-16 times a day. But sometimes it's more sometimes it's less. But he is sti feeding frequently on demand.

His average is 10. Depending on the day, he could eat as little at 8 times or as much as 12.

Michaela has breast milk but from a bottle and one formula bottle for breakfast. She has 6-10 feeds a day, depending how much she's able to take on one feeding.

Grayson was attached to me almost 24/7 as an infant because he refused the pacifier. I was prepared for that with Hadley because she won't take a paci either. But she's totally the opposite she only nurses when she's hungry very rarely for comfort.
