So I am super duper against anything going in my baby's mouth that is not attached to my chest. This has not been an issue in the past. However, we went to a wedding last weekend and DH's aunt came up to Paxton holding her slice of cake and I'm thinking you guys know what's coming right? Before I knew what she was doing, she was behind my left shoulder, she shoved frosting in his mouth!!! I was stunned! I didn't know what to do! It was too late to stop her. Paxton hated it. He did the tongue thing pushing it out of his mouth. She said something about that's what everybody used to do back when her kid's were young. Well so what? He's not your kid. Who does that to someone else's child! I know she meant no harm, and it was frosting so she knew better than to give him something solid but ask first! I probably would have said ok anyway because it was a one time thing but don't just do it!

Wow! That's crazy! I've been lucky enough to not have anyone try anything like that yet.

Oh man! I would have gotten rude!

I had a random hispanic lady at the Dr.'s office try & swoop Taryn from my arms, as I was preparing a bottle for her. Momma bear came out, I assure you!

That is rude! I gave Finn that tiny bit of rice cereal. At the same time it was suggested that it may help the reflux which it has not. Anyhow, cake frosting?
I would have taken the slice of cake and let her have it right in the face. LOL!
