As our babies get older, are awake more and need more entertaining, as well as the fact that winter months and being 'stuck' inside due to the weather is approaching - I thought I'd share something I came across on Pintrest tonight
Some of these things, obviously baby is too young for right now. . . But that doesn't mean you can't do them soon.
At this age, we can talk with them. I am always sitting on the couch talking with Adalyn after I nurse her. She loooves interacting with us, LOVES it. Also while I am baby wearing, I often talk to her about what I am doing. Not every.single.thing - But I 'include' her in my activities by telling her what we're doing.
You may feel silly, may think you sound silly - But to your baby? It's not silly!
Outdoor 'play' is also a good one - Adalyn LOVES to be outside. We often go out in the early evening when we're waiting for daddy to come home. . . Emmersyn will ride her bike, play with chalk, ect. And I just set Adalyn up on a blanket in the grass - She loves it!
Don't under estimate what these babies can do/can be entertained by. You'd be surprised! My 2.5 year old still surprises me!
Sadly, I don't get to stay at home with sweet Pipps. These are great ideas for the weekend, though. I noticed that she was restless last night, and George guessed correctly that she was bored. As soon as he walked through the house with her and talked about everything they saw, she was happy.
