So I am finally transitioning Luke from sleeping in his infant car seat to sleeping flat in our bed. Last night he woke up and fussed and kicked at least every 1 to 2 hrs. A lot of the time he fell back to sleep only to do it all over again. He nursed 3 times last night. I am exhausted. I hope tonight goes much better.
Hope it gets better, but I recommend inclining a pack n play or his crib. I'm transition Madeline from her Nap Nanny to her PnP this week, and I'm going to still keep it elevated, then gradually bring it down flat.
Oi, I am glad we only did inclined sleeping during a bad cold! I wish you lots of luck. Do you have a crib that adjusts on each end for the height of the mattress because if you do you can elevate one end - it may be a way to slightly elevate him and ease from a 45 degree angle to flat.
I tried elevating one end of the pack n play but he hated it. The only time he likes the pack n play is in the mornings when he is happy and I shower. I'm going to try the pack n play again once he is used to laying flat in bed. The good news is he didn't spit up at all last night.
Good luck! For awhile we had my first sleeping in her bouncer and then she didn't like sleeping flat either, then I wondered if maybe she missed being cradled by the fabric? I wonder if one of those sleep sacks could help? Hope it gets easier for you.
