... that Micah has gained over 8 lbs since birth, and i haven't lost a single pound since she was 2 months old?!
Where is this breastfeeding weight loss I was promised!!? It doesn't help that I'm so hungry all the time I still have about 12 lbs to lose and it's getting on my nerves now, all my prepregnancy clothes are uncomfortable
Same thing here to. I gained a lot with my pregnancy to and still have a little less then half to loose still. I cant even fit into my prepregnancy clother, shirts yes for the most part but no bottoms. My hips widened a lot to so I dont know if ill even be able to again. Im mad lol
I'm sorry!!! I didn't gain much at all while pregnant, like 13 lbs, I think, and Bailey alone was nearly 8 at birth. I am below my prepreggo weight, BUT, my toning has seemed to have stalled and it's frustrating. I've always read that your body holds on to a few fat lbs while BF'ing to aid in milk production. I seem to remember having the same frustration with the boys, but then as soon as they weaned themselves, I leaned back out very quickly. Hopefully, that is what's going on with all of us! Can I please just have my flat tummy back now????

I really think many women are tricked into believing that the weight will drop off because they are breastfeeding. It is true that your body will burn an extra 500 calories while nursing, but nursing certainly does cause you to be constantly hungry! It is not hard to easily consume that extra 500 calories. Although I have lost my pregnancy weight, I am quite sure it isn't from breastfeeding. I believe it is from not eating often. It isn't that I don't want to eat; it is just that I sometimes find myself having no time for me to even eat. I can fix dinner for my family and then fix everyone's plates and by that time Kyah is more than ready to nurse. So, I feed her while the rest of the family eats and I end up not eating. I will usually end up grabbing something quick later on which is usually a lunch meat sandwich or whatever is on hand. Sometimes that means a snack. It is not healthy at all and I hope the pattern doesn't continue for too much longer. Even though I lost the weight my belly is not toned at all. And it never will be if I continue to live off of quick snacks.
Like Katie, I also read that your body holds on to a few extra pounds while breastfeeding. That must be what is going on! That is great that you only have 12 pounds to lose!! You should be proud of yourself!! Many women wish they could say they same after having a baby!
I am also in such a bad situation regarding weight . I was already 20 lb overweight before pregnancy . I gained just 25 . I Lost 20 2 months postpartum . Now somehow I gained 10 lb back .. DS is exclusively BFed but that is not helping .
I am struggling so much to loose weight because I am hungry and craving all the wrong kinda foods all the time . I get little or no time to workout . I really hope I can workout more and more in coming days to start loosing . Kinda lost all my motivation somehow
