I don't understand it. Kara LOVES bath time... she is so happy when she hears the water turn on and is excited when I undress her to put her in. She has gotten a bath almost every night since she like 2 weeks old. Every night when I give her a bath she is happy as can be then its a light switch. All of a sudden she gets a sad face and starts crying... crying isn't the right word... screaming... that's the right word lol. She will scream bloody murder until she is being nursed. I've tried leaving her in the bath longer, thinking maybe she was unhappy about getting out but she started crying before I took her out of the bath and then I dealt with her whaling away longer because I had to still get her in the towel. I thought maybe she was cold so I wrapped her well and dried her before going out of the bathroom... also made sure the fan was off or on low but she still screams. She starts screaming before I can even get up off the floor (I sit next to the tub while bathing her) most nights.

Anyone else have little ones that love baths but still scream?

Yes! Exactly! I think it is because they know what is coming next ... That is the only solution I can think of other than it makes Aden tired and when he is tired he likes to nurse.

Alex has a bath every night and every night he screams after I have put it down to routine because I bathe him every night same time and right after he gets cereal and a bottle and goes to bed.

Matthew likes to nurse when hes tired to but haven't had issues with him in the bath. He gets one everyother night and if hes crying before he will stop once we take his clothes off, hes loves his baths. Im sorry though!

I'm so sorry, Kim! I'm not sure I have any advice, but just wanted to say that I hate that Kara's started doing that. For me, it's the opposite. Bailey can be an attention-hog, and hates being put down in her swing or bouncer while I get her brothers bathed and ready for bed. She can't stand to be where she doesn't see us. So, she screams when I start their bath and calms right down and gets excited and happy when it's her bathtime. Is there something else like that going on before the bath that may be getting her worked up? I've noticed that as B's gotten older, she thought the lukewarm water we used when she was a newborn was too cold now. She started shivering and getting upset in the bath. I make her baths a little warmer now and she LOVES it. Could it be something like that, maybe? I'm sorry I don't have any more advice or suggestions, but I do hope it gets better soon.

Kyah absolutely loves our baths! She also gets super excited when I start the water! The only time she cries is occasionally when the bath is over. She doesn't want us to get out of the tub! She would not tolerate a bath at all while she was sick though. Bath time is one time I can look forward every night and know that it calms her and she enjoys it.

It kind of sounds like Kara knows that bath time is almost over and that is what upsets her.

My guess is that she has learned that her beloved bath time will eventually end, and I bet you do the routine pretty much the same every night - I know I wash Remy the same each time I do it! Maybe she is anticipating the ending and being cold, or just getting out in general.
