My old bras sort of fit! Yay! They fit cup wise so I guess my boobs finally went back to normal after stopping pumping. A few are either a little large in the cup or a little tight around the back. I am thinking I've changed from a 36DD (pre-pregnancy) to a 38C-D but am going to use the sort of fitting ones for a while, make sure they don't change again, then get measured before I buy any.
Most of my clothes still fit, there are just some jeans and combat trousers that are far too loose and don't fit well around my funny tummy shape so they have gone in a charity bag. All I really need to buy is maybe 1-2 pairs of dark blue/black jeans and some decent underwear.
It took me nearly 3 hours but it was worth doing! I know what clothes I can wear now and stop wearing just sloppy things when it's too cold for my new dresses!
I've put my maternity stuff at the back of the wardrobe that isn't as accessible so we put occasional clothes in there. The original plan was to Ebay them but I just keeping thinking "but what if I have an oops", it would bug me to death to have to buy new maternity clothes when I've got all those that I know would fit. I'm done as far as I'm concerned and I don't plan on getting my IUD out but for some reason I couldn't shake that thought. Weird. It's probably just psychological, not really wanting to admit I'll never be pregnant again.
That's great! I still need to do that.. I have maternity clothes mixed in with pre pregnancy clothes... It's a mess...
It's funny that you mention bras because I recently got measured for the right fit and found that I was wearing 2 cup size smaller then what i thought... (makes sense since I kept popping out of them...)
But I'm fearful of getting ride of the old or buying more of the right size because I know working out and losing weight would all start by losing my Boob weight first!
What about getting a capsule wardrobe of contingency clothes at the right size in a sale, or on Ebay if you don't mind second-hand hun?
I am going into the local town with Mum next week as her fav clothes shop is having a 25% sale for loyalty card holders. It's generally a bit old for me but some of the plainer stuff is pretty generic for any age, I might be able to get my underwear there and maybe a pair of jeans. If not they have a New Look in town and I'll look there. Will have to get to M&S in the bigger town at some point to get my boobs measured.
Julie - that's what I had, mostly maternity clothes in my main wardrobe and all mixed up with normal clothes, an absolute mess. Some of my nicest clothes were away at the back of the less accessible wardrobe where I put them when they no longer fit in pregnancy.
It's a really faffy job, but I'm glad I've done it now, looking forward to wearing some nice things again!!
I'm glad you've put them away Sharron, I've always seen you with at least one more down the track. Maybe it won't happen but I believe it will yay for getting the wardrobe sorted!! I need to do this...
