I haven't been on JM in ages! I hate JM on my phone and I rarely ever get online with the computer. It's been nice seeing some of you guys on FB!
Caleb is doing great - he'll be 7 months on 3/6. At his 6 month appointment he was 20lbs 8oz and 27 3/4 inches. We often refer to him as baby giant, since his big sister weighs only 21lbs 8oz. He absolutely adores Kennedy, and Kennedy adores him (most of the time.) He's been sitting independently for awhile and scoots backwards like a pro!
He is still 100% EBF. He refuses to even take a bottle. We're doing BLW and he still has ZERO interest in food. Is he the only one not eating? I have even tried giving him purees, since we did a combination of BLW and purees with her and she came out fine. He wants NOTHING to do with food. I think he may be going to college with a boob (haha j/k - maybe). It has been such a completely different experience than with my DD, who was eating anything and everything, despite the fact that every single doctor and therapist warned that we would have trouble with solids because of her having Down syndrome. Anyone else with a LO who is completely uninterested in solids for anything more than holding?
Hey! Missed you around these parts! Paxton is 100% EBF too. If you give him finger food he plays with it, if you spoon something into his mouth he spits it out. I thought he was the only one! I'm not alone anymore!
I just started Luke on solids a wk ago but now he has rsv so he has been back to ebf the past 3 days. He won't take a bottle either. He wasn't eating very mucy yet. A few bites 1-2x a day. He could take it or leave it.
Cora is excited about food. She's had a couple tastes of food off my plate, and hubby gives her rice rusks when DS is eating meals at the table and I'm at work. I figure we will use solids to phase out the bit of formula we use when we run out of stored breastmilk. (We breastfeed when I'm home from work)
Its good to hear from you and its great that Caleb is doing so well.
Oz has very little interest in food, he'll chew on something if you give it to him to hold, but I'm not sure he really understands the concept of eating. He's no longer interested in purees and we've stopped solids for a while. He's 6.5 months.
Nice to see you here! I stopped BFing at 3 months for medical reasons and Michaela then had formula, she has taken to solids nicely now and enjoys the different tastes, but I'm not doing BLW, I'm more of a TP and am doing purees as I did with my son. From what I understand it's normal at this age to not show an interest if EBF, and I wouldn't worry about it!!
