Alright ladies. I need your help! Next Wednesday is my mom's birthday and my brothers and sister are going to be there.
I can't really hide my pregnancy from them for much longer. I see them way too often and I have been rejecting the odd glass of wine ...unlike me! LOL!
Here is the t-shirt I will be putting on Finn.
Can any of you help me come up with a creative way to do this, or should I just let him roam around with the t-shirt on? I really wanted to do something fun.
WE AREN'T ANNOUNCING ON FACEBOOK YET! SHHHHHH!
Cute idea! I would maybe say something before you take off his coat...just something like "Finn wanted to show you his brand new T-shirt"...just so that they all notice and "get it". Sorry I'm rubbish at those sorts of creative ideas but I bet some of the other ladies will give you some!!
I think it would be more fun to let him just wear the shirt and see how long it takes to sink in. When we announced at Christmas we used the t-shirt thing. My SIL got Harper a shirt that said big sister and as soon as she opened it we put it on her and told everybody to look at her new shirt. It took a while for Bobby's grandma to get it and it was so funny. I wish we had just bought it for her ourselves and showed up like that and let everybody figure it out slowly.
ooooooo how much fun!!!!!
That is a cute shirt I would love to see how many people would catch on!
Just let him wear the shirt and see how long it takes for everyone to find out!
(Makes me want to have another.... lol )
Ok, so, one time we announced a pregnancy on Christmas morning. I dressed the sibling (still a baby) in a onesie ( that said, "ho ho ho, I'm a big bro") and pants, and the I put another long sleeved thing over it. When the timing was right, I asked my mom to take off his sweatshirt, cause "he might be getting hot". Worked like a charm, I loved the trickle in of people getting it. The looks on people's faces was priceless.
Whatever you do....make sure to have a camera rolling! Such fun!
