Anyone else feel like their baby has split personalities? One day he's fine playing alone on the floor while I wash dishes or do some laundry, the next day he won't let me put him down for nothing! He won't play alone, he won't even let me go to the bathroom without having a fuss. Most of the time even when he's playing on the floor I'm in the same room or just in the next and talking or singing to him. What's the deal?
It's normal. At this age most babies don't understand object permanence so when you leave the room to him you disappear from existence and he doesn't know if you're coming back. Plus babies love to be held. They don't want to be stuck on the floor, they want to be up looking at everything.
I swear, Mikayla would rather be on the floor than being held by anyone. She doesn't snuggle or cuddle at all. It makes me feel sad that I don't mean the world to her, like everyone else describes here.
