What has your baby tried to date, and what is his/her favorite food so far?
Which babies are still not touching solids?
I want to give Finn some avocado. Has anyone fed baby avocado yet?

Paxton finally hit the ok with food phase. It was like a switch flipped. He has sucked on bread and an apple, ate little teeny bites of mashed potatoes, pasta and cheese, and went to town on a banana. I'm thinkibg of trying spaghetti today since that's what I'm having for lunch.

There's not much Ava hasn't tried, though nothing has been a huge success, she mostly plays. I only avoid choking hazard stuff that she can't gum.

He's tried avocado (a bit slippery for him to grab, so wasn't so much a fan), banana, carrots, apple, sweet potato, eggs, bits of a kaiser, a lemon slice (lol), watermelon (no seeds), melon, red pepper, puffs, mum mums...basically he usually gets a bit of whatever we're eating with the exception of any choking hazards, or anything that might have too much sodium. His favourite right now is carrots. I think he's getting close on the pincer grip which will make it easier for him.

Well I tried him on the spaghetti. He took the little piece of pasta, sucked all the sauce off of it and spit the pasta back out. I have all these little pieces of white pasta sitting here on his tray. Haha! At least he liked the sauce.

I started Baby Led Solids, but it's not going well. She only likes cheese and pickles. Also, George freaks out when she gags, as do I. We also tried organic jar foods of carrots and bananas. She wouldn't even take one spoon. She spit it out and shook her head no. (Shaking her head no is how she tells me she's done nursing.)

I want to give Finn some avocado. Has anyone fed baby avocado yet? I fed her some in a mesh feeder. She hated it. I also gave some small chunks. She hated it like that too.

Michaela has been having purees and has liked most things, I think the only thing she didn't like was a stew my mum had put garlic in.

I'm just starting to offer her solid solids now so I'll let you know how it goes!!

Avocado was Oz's first food, he ate some. I tried giving him chunks but they got lost in his hand and ended up mashing it.

We've also tried banana, apple and apple puree, sweet potato pureed, mum-mums, cucumbers, red pepper slices and red pepper puree and banana pancakes (friend banana and egg). Of everything he likes cucumber best. He usually sucks out the middle soft part the chews on the outer firmer part. I just give it in slices.

I still don't think he's really that into food though.

Avocado was Kata's 1st food. She prefers chunks now rather than purees.
She has had many veggies and fruit in some form...Sweet potato, apple, peach, broccoli, peas, carrots, green beans, mango, star fruit, corn, banana, pumpkin, squash, cheerios, baby puff cereal and some new faves are brown rice with coconut and roasted chicken. I started with purees but she is much prefering chunky or pieces to chew.

She does not much care for green beans or spinach. She only tolerates peas. Everything else she loves.

heres a pic of her eating bananas

Sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, bananas, pears, squash, carrots, mangos, oatmeal...I'm sure there are others or combinations. So far the only thing she doesn't seem to like is bananas. She LOVES mangoes and really likes squash and sweet potatoes.

I gave Sarah a pickle spear to play with one day at a restaurant, mainly to keep her busy. She also played with some cheerios at a friends house. Other than that she's still a boobie baby.

basically the only thing we tried was squash, he loved it, but for some reason I'm not in a hurry to feed him solids this time... I don't really know why.. He's satisfied with just nursing, and a chunky monkey

Theo is still not that interested. He has tried lots of things and likes the but only tastes. We don't eat much avocado so it is not in the house so he hasn't tried it yet.

DJ gets mostly jar baby food, and so far he like mostly everything, he is not a fan of bananas alone, but he like them mixed into his rice cereal or oatmeal. I do give him some of the things we eat at dinner or lunch but I feed it to him in really small bites... I am too scared of choking. He likes Mashed Potatoes, noodles, toast, green beans, pizza, spaghetti, and he loves the gerber puffs, his favorite seems to be the vanilla or the strawberry apple ones....I saw that they have blueberry and I am going to try those ones to. He will eat the sweet potatoe ones but seems to eat the other flavors better.

I've tried bananas both just chunked on his tray and mashed up with breastmilk. He gagged and acted like he was going to puke even though nothing really even got in his mouth. We also tried pureed pears and he just clamps his mouth shut and shakes his head and turns all different directions and won't open up. I'm not in a huge hurry to get him eating. He's satisfied, big and healthy with just breastmilk.
