Pippa nursed 60 times this weekend, and she's been latching on while I'm asleep beside her. She is also sucking harder. My nipples have deep painful cracks.

I have Medela Tender Care, but it smells horrible and doesn't last. Can you recommend anything actually sold in stores?

What worked the best for me when he was a newborn was Lansinoh. Rubbed it on after and before a feeding.

Coconut oil, or your own milk. Make sure you air your breast out too so you don't end up with thrush.

My LC told me not to use lasinoh on cracked nipples because it promotes yeast growth. She recommended coconut oil. I use it for everything, I can't recommend it enough!

Hey, I learned something new! Thanks Shannon! That's what I use if they get sore now as DH stole my Lansinoh for his heels. Good to know I was doing the right thing. Sherry, I hope they heal quickly for you.

Coconut oil for sure. I use it for everything, from cooking to nappy rash. Coconuts= tree of life.
