Sorry I haven't been around much. Lurking mostly. I've been keeping pretty busy and haven't had much time to get on the computer. Luke has been pretty fussy also. I think getting on the computer is his cue to cry.
We got 2 bottle calves a month ago. 1 requiring extra attention. I also got 40 baby chicks last week. They are so adorable. Some days I feel like all I do is feed and clean up poop! Feed the calves. Feed the cows. Feed the chicks & chickens. Feed the dogs & cats. Feed the baby. Feed the kids & dh. Clean up poop in the barn. Clean up chicken poop. Change Lukes diaper. Wash cloth diapers.
I was able to get my onions planted in the garden on St. Patricks. Lettuce & beets also. I'm ready to get potatoes, peas, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower & cabbage out as soon as it dries up enough. It is so nice to get outdoors and get busy. Maybe I can start losing a little of this weight! lol.
Luke had a couple of check ups. He's doing great. Had to take my 2 younger dd to the eye dr. My middle dd has had glasses for reading and still needs them but they have improved. This was the first check up for my youngest dd and it turns out she is very far sighted. No wonder we have struggled for her to learn her ABC and to read. She wasn't being stubborn (which she is), she couldn't see anything close at all. Makes me feel a little bad that I didn't get her taken in sooner.
We've had friends over a few times and all of the family over last weekend.
Anyways, that's what I've been doing. It's getting to the busy time of yr so I may not be around much. I still enjoy reading everyones posts and seeing the updates of FB when I can.
The new animals sound lovely. WTG on the gardening!!
Aww and don't be blaming yourself about your DD, those things are so very hard to spot, and we all second-guess ourselves all the time about when to seek medical help, it's often a hard call. You're a wonderful mom, and the important thing is that it's been noticed and she can now get some help.
