This might be a silly question, but is it possible to get thrush now that Summer is older? I mean I would think it is but I was looking up about it online and seen a few things that said you shouldn't get it later on while breastfeeding???

Anyhow, I think I might have it. Something is definitely going on. My left nipple hurts when Summer nurses. It looks normal and it doesn't really hurt touching it or clothing rubbing against it so I dunno. I threw some coconut oil on it in hope it helps.

I think it's less common when they're older but not unheard of. Xavier had thrush around 6 months.

Yeah, it's always a possibility. Especially if you or the baby has needed an antibiotic, cause that kills good bacteria with the bad. You could get some genetian violet....I haven't tried it, but it's a natural way to fight yeast. Just don't get it on cloth cause it stains. I haven't ever needed it, but you can find out more on kellymom. You will want to deal with it early if its thrush because that can easily turn to mastitis and passing yeast back and forth.

Yes, it's possible. Just not as likely.

could she be using a lazy tight latch? Since Cora got teeth, she sometimes scrapes a bit or latches too tight and it does hurt.
