Yes, Madeline loves books. We read throughout the day. Her favorite books are the touch and feel books...and anything with animals.

Kata loves for me to tell the billy goats gruff or three little pigs. She loves books and wil be still for rather long ones (like my fave, McElligots Pool-Dr. Seuss). She talks a lot and imitates a lot while Im reading to her. We love Dr. Seuss. I read her "counting sheep every night.

Yes, I read him a lot of books. He enjoys Goodnight Moon before bed. He also likes the touch and feel books, and I have a couple of foam books with shapes/animals that he enjoys a lot. We also have various Sandra Boynton board books, which I read him.

We have a ton more books that are more toddler/child-appropriate too. And my dad sent me quite a few books from my childhood, including a couple books of nursery rhymes and fables.

I do sometimes, I am waiting to read more regularly until he really starts to understand the purpose of a book. He is getting it a little more lately though. He really likes a sound book my dad bought him that features Elmo, but he likes all things Elmo. He is starting to point at objects on the pages and turning the pages with actual purpose so I might start reading a book a night soon.

He likes to bang board books on the ground Every few nights we do read a book before bed only when he isn't quite ready to go down. He will sit on my lap and listen and bang on the book. We also have a few with foam puzzle pieces and he likes to chew on those.
one.juniper likes this.

We are always reading, since i have the older kids...she doesn't seem to favour anything or really take a whole lot of notice yet.

I feel horrible and like a shame to my family (my dad and sil are librarians, my brother used to be and my mom has a huge library of her own.) I do not read as much as I feel I should. He has no interest and just wants to chew on or rip. so I don't yet. I try every now and then to see what his level is at. But still not much luck.

I read to tuckr almost every night. The same books with a few added becaise they are his favorites. And by favorites I mean he sits still and listens the whole time.
The list is as follows in this order.
Owl at home
I love you through and through
The cat in the hat
One fish two fish.

One fish two fish seems to be his favorite tho.
I love to read and owl at home was a book my mom read when she was young then she read it to me when I was little and now my ragged rough copy has been passed down to tuckr. Maybe it will ake it to his babies if I'm careful

I read to him almost every day.

His favourite book is 'I love you through and through'. He always smiles and gurgles when we read it.

Connor loves Goodnight Moon but reading is hit and miss with him. I try to read something with him every day but sometimes he wants to be active and isn't interested. I have a little puppet book called Little Duck and he loves when I play with it with him. I don't read the book properly but I make up stories that include Connor and the duck "talks" to him. He loves it!

We do! I bought a bunch of books while I was pregnant. All of the ones that were popular when I was little. i.e.: Rainbow Fish, if you give a mouse a cookie, I love you forever, hungry caterpillar ect.

George brought home The Little Engine That Could, and we have all been reading it to her. She loves it! She sits very still and intently looks at each page. She especially loves the clown and giraffes on the pages. It's just so very sweet.
