When driving with your little one in the car do you roll the windows down? I never really paid any mind to it but my mom pointed out it might take Summer's breath away. What do you think?

When you're going out (or when you plan on going out) when do you consider putting sunblock on your baby? We were only outside for a few, maybe like 20 minutes and I hadn't even thought about sunblock. When we went in Summer was a little pink, but it faded pretty quickly, thank God! Now I guess I better put it on, or carry it with me all the times!

Ava's ped says 15 minutes in the sun and then plenty of sunscreen. Ava's breath doesn't get taken away anymore, so I don't worry about windows.

I usually keep the windows up just because there is so much traffic here in CA I don't want Micah taking in the fumes so I can't help with that one!

If we are going to be in the sun for a while -- even if it is overcast -- I put sunblock on MIcah. We walk on the beach a lot and even in the winter I put some on him just to be safe

The windows in the middle of the van don't open so we use the AC or roll down the front windows. But with our old car we cracked the windows a bit in the back. I always put sunscreen on my kids in the summer. If we leave the house for any reason they get sunscreen. I'm kinda crazy about it.

I never roll the windows down. My hair would be a mess! LOL. Plus we have too much pollen and allergens running around down here. It's funny that you mention this, thinking now.....I'm not sure I've rolled my windows down in my car since college. Probably involved blaring Led Zeppelin, smoking, and driving way too fast.

Sunscreen fanatic here.

I only do windows if we're in town (20 mph).

I do sunscreen if we're out more than 10 min. Also, babies get sunburned in the car too. If the sun is coming in and hitting their skin, they need sunscreen then too.

We've had the windows down some but not for very long.

I've used some sunscreen on sarah because she wont keep a hat on very well.

If its hot I usually put the windows down. I am not a big fan of air conditioning. When the temperature really starts to soar though I will probably use the AC instead.

Sunscreen.. if we are just outside for a little bit I put a hat on him. If its going to be a while, like we are playing or going for a walk I will put on sunscreen. If the sun is weak (early morning or late evening) then I don't bother with the sunscreen.

I don't put the windows down much when the kids are in the car, or I'll put the front ones down enough to let some fresh air in but not enough to blow around.

Sunscreen goes on the kids if we're going out. If I can be positive Connor won't be in the sun at all, like we're just running to the store and he's in his carseat and stroller with the covers on, I won't put it on him but if we're going for a walk it goes on. Even inside I'll put it on Kailyn in summer since she is always by the windows (UV rays come through glass unless it's got some sort of filter coating on it). Afternoon sun comes in and she gets pretty pink from it. I could get a tan by lying on the floor!

Tuckr LOVES wind on his face so we roll the windows down in the back for him. if its nice that is. but where we are in a place where the air is fresh and not polluted and its good for him.
as far as sunscreen....im a bad mom. i forget :/ and taylrs mom forgot to bring it back the last time she had him so i havent had any the last few times we've gone out. so i plop a hat on him and send him on his merry way and just keep him out for short periods of time.

We roll down the windows in town, and Pippa likes it. We keep them up on the interstate because it's too loud (and it does jack up my hair).

Once it gets warmer, we will be using California Baby sunscreen on Pippa. Much like me, she is very pale. I'm not sure if she is prone to burning or tanning, though. I have one of each: Jessie burns and Kissy tans.

We roll the windows down... If I roll all of them down, it does get too much for her and will takeover breath away. Which I can usually hear. It takes my 3 year olds breath away, too. So we usually just do two at a time. You'll know I'd it's taking her breath away.

We are outside a lot here... I put sunscreen on if we're outside in the sun for 30+ min. As a baby, Em use to get red from being hot not sunburnt. I remember when that first happened, I had sunscreen on her but she still got red. I freaked. But then it faded - So we figured it was just from being hot.

If we're going to be outside for 10 minutes or more (whether playing in the front yard, or going for a walk etc.) he gets sunscreen.

Windows I always have cracked an inch and my sunroof open in the nice weather. I am not a fan of AC and only use it when its 30C+. But I think that stems from when I used to smoke, just habit to use the windows

The a/c doesn't work in our car so of course the windows are down. Unless it is pretty hot, I have the windows open on our van. I like the fresh air. I usually keep my hair up and use a little hair spray so it's no big deal.

Last wk I was standing outside holding Luke talking to some friends who had stopped by for about 45 min and Luke's neck around his collar got a little sunburned. I never even thought about sunblock. I hadn't planned on being outside that long. I will definitely be paying better attention from now on. I burn very easy and I even had pink cheeks.

My a/c just broke, so it's windows down until we get that fixed

I put sunscreen on her (and the older kids too) if we're going to be outside for more than just a few minutes.
