At M's 9mo check up today, the Ped stated that M no longer needed a bottle at bedtime (she's FF).

Have any LO's weaned from their bedtime bottle yet?

I have noticed that M is drinking less and less at bedtime. Perhaps she's self weaning.

Did he mean before bed or in the middle of the night? If it's the middle of the night technically he's right but every baby is different and if she's hungry then she's hungry. If he meant before bed that's hooey because most babies still get a bottle/nursing session right before bed up until at least 12 months.

I agree ^. If she doesn't really want it though, it can't hurt to eliminate it. But at this age I would surely still let her. I've noticed peds try to grow up babies faster than 10 years ago.

In an ideal world I suppose it's a good idea. But in the real world, does it really matter? My son is 2 1/2 and he still drinks warm milk before bed (not in a bottle obviously).

No, not feedings during the night. The actual bottle right before bedtime. I've never heard of that, but then I googled and read that it's quite common, actually. I might just wean that feeding at 1 year and switch to water in sippy at bedtime, unless she's hungry.

Thanks, ladies!

I feed Emily solids around 6pm and then give her 1 final 4 or 6 oz bottle at around 7:30. She usually goes to sleep between 8:30 and 9:30 so I guess it's not really a bedtime bottle but more of an evening bottle. And then that's usually it until about 8:30 the next morning.
