I wanted the last one to be as close in age, I did end up pregnant after 14 months of ttc, but miscarried. It then took another 18 months for me to get pregnant, so this time there is 4 years in between kids.

I am so nervous this one - especially if it is boy - will feel left out, Adam and Nate are very close in age, and do most things together, I fear this one will feel like a 3rd wheel.

I'm sure they will all play together just fine! I wouldn't worry about that one bit!

i have four and they are all about two years apart, which is a good age gap. this one will be three years younger than my last dd. i don't plan on having any more after this, i feel i am about as old as i want to be with little kids... another few years and i'll be pushing 40 and i don't think i could cope energy-wise.

Our DD1 and DD2 are 3 years apart and it was fabulous. DD2 and DD3 are a little over 2 1/2 years and it was a little harder. DD3 and this one will be 8 years apart, so we shall see how this goes.

My goal is to have our next child (or be PG) before I'm 30 (I just turned 27 yesterday). Life never quite works out the way you expect. I hadn't expected to marry before age 28 and I was married at 21. After that, I expected I'd have one baby before our 5 year anniversary, but we'll celebrate our 6 year anniversary next month with baby #1 on the way. So we'll see if the "by-30" goal actually happens!

That's true! How do i explain what i mean.. A baby of the family who is spoiled and treated like a baby longer than necessary.. like my youngest sister was "babied" by all of us older siblings and treated like a baby up until age 4 or 5 in a way that made her more spoiled and she still throws fits at age 11. Not sure this would be the case for everyone, i know a lot is based on how the parents act.

More than anything my decision is based on wanting them evenly spaced so hopefully they play well together but of course i know that doesn't always go according to plan so we'll see

Also i feel so much better hearing that several of you have liked having a gap of 2 years. I've been nervous about how my son will adjust with a baby around and whether it will be really difficult with him still being young. Gives me hope!
