if you are concerned I would call your dr and see what they say. Better to be safe than sorry!

Have you laid down with water on your left side? Or have some juice? Their movements change a lot at this point in time. If you're worried though def call your doctor. DD1 stopped moving at 36wks and I literally argued with L&D for two more weeks. They kept giving me juice which would hype her up long enough to get good reads on the monitor and discharge me. I'd get home and she'd slow right back down.

I was worried about this yesterday and ended up having an ultrasound today to find out that he is breech with his feet up near his head, so the nurse explained that this could be a reason I'm not feeling as much movement the past day. So, I'm sure position also has something to do with it! And as baby grows they have less room in there, so who knows! But I agree with the other ladies that say if you're really worried, definitely call your doctor!!

I agree that you should go ahead and call your doctor not only to ease your mind but also so that they are aware of your concerns!

Are the movements you feeling big movements? I mean not so much as powerful but "big" as in an arm or leg gliding across the inside of your belly? Baby is growing and often the strong kicks can be big movements at this stage! That is just from baby having less room now. A lot of us have noticed a change in the type of baby movements we are feeling

I am only 26 weeks...but baby measures 27 and have been having the same problem. For the past 3 days I have barely felt him move at all. I haven't even felt him move since yesterday morning and it is driving me crazy. I hate calling the Dr on a weekend, but am starting to consider it. I have a doppler and his heartbeat is within the range it should be so I am hoping he is ok.

I do wonder if he maybe just switched positions or something though.

Hope everything goes ok I am sure your little one is probably just getting big and has less room, but I totally understand your concern.

my last two babies have remained the the frank breech position well into the third trimester and I can tell you the movements are completely different..very mellow compared to some of the rowdy kicks my son used to give me..Honestly its probably just because babies feet are up by his or her head and its kinda hard to move that way..LOL

So funny that this is even a comfortable position for our babies, I was acting it out for my husband when I told him our son is frank breech and let me tell you it is NOT easy! Especially while pregnant! LOL

sometimes I have to actually put my hands onn my belly and then I'll feel him move across my belly rathr than just a kick. He is actively normally so I'm not worrying but as I was reading this I realized he's been quiet today (I've been more active though) and as soon as I put my hand on my belly near my belly button I felt him move something across my belly

The bigger the baby gets the less room there is, so you feel less pronounced kickes/punches and more pushing/rolling. Also if the baby is facing towards your back you wont feel as much. And since they are still moving around some at this stage they might face your back for a couple days and then flip flop around. Now if your not feeling anything, no wiggling, no rolling, no pushing out like they are trying to stretch or something lol then that warrents a call to your dr/mw.

on a side note I'm kinda suprised your dr/mw didnt mention to start expecting some of this, not decreased so much as just different types of movement.

My kid seems to not really kick or punc as much. It has turned to more pressing like an arm pressing against the side rather than an actual kick. I think he is running out of room or in a weird position!
