I am 29 weeks and read so many posts on women already lactating. My breats have grown, and there was one day where I pinched one and I saw not even a drop of fluid...it was more like someone had put a fourth of a drop in one of the crevases lol. Sorry, I have big nips so they are not all smooth but more ridged if that makes sense! But I feel awkward that I am not leaking like many others are. Is anyone else dry with me? Lol

I haven't started lactating at all. I hopet this doesn't mean that I won't be able to breast feed when my baby comes!

I started leaking around 34-35 weeks with my first and have already had some leaking for the last 2-3 weeks. Despite leaking before I ever even had DS, I was unable to BF him despite every effort ((supplements, hospital grade pump, working with a lactation consultant, frequently on the breast, etc)). That being said, there are people who don't leak at all and turn out to be dairy cows. There's no real guarantee at this point. I wouldn't worry about it at this point except to be happy that you don't have to worry about breast pads yet!

Not there and never did with my first. I l also wasn't the type to shoot milk or leak much when I was nursing. And I nursed for 7-8 months after my daughter was born so don't worry. It'll be there when you need it!

I never did at all with my first. This time around i can get a itty pin head size drop out once in a while. (i see it dried on my nipple) Dont stress about it at all. I think its completely normal, esp with a first.

I leaked like crazy with the first, not at all with my last and both were breastfed for a year. I haven't leaked this time around yet either. Your milk will more than likely come in when he baby is born

I haven't tried squeezing milk out yet but haven't leaked any without squeezing. I have the crusty colostrum stuff on the nipples. I only stopped bf'ing my youngest about 3 months ago. With my oldest I didn't notice any signs of lactation before giving birth and was able to nurse him without a problem (well without a supply problem on my part - he had some major latch issues to deal with but that's another story) I've bf three babies without having a supply problem but never leaked before giving birth so I wouldn't worry about it. The hormones during/after the delivery prompt your body to start producing more milk.
ETA: Also just squeezing the nipples isn't a great way to get much milk out. You really need to start farther out and push the milk through the ducts toward the nipple and then squeeze around the nipple. Once you are nursing your baby the tight suction latch that they have will do that drawing out of the ducts but without a suction (from a pump or baby's mouth) it takes more work to get the milk to come out.

I actually just tired and got a little, but nothing that's happens on it own. I am really hoping it will not be an issue until baby gets here. I would like to not wear pads yet.

After all I've read about how your milk supply isn't any indicator how good a supply of milk you'll have after baby comes, I'll let you know that I envy you!! This is my first and I've been lactating since 21 weeks and I really wish it hadn't started that soon. I leak on and off all day long now and it can be really uncomfortable at times, so enjoy the dryness!

Nope, none here yet and I've always, always had an overabundance once my babies are born. With my second, I used a pump in the hospital the day after she was born (12-18 hours postpartum) and actually pumped about 4 ounces, which is kind of insane, but had no leaking issues ahead of time. This was even though I had nursed DD1 into my second pregnancy and could still hand express milk if I wanted to- still no leaking.
So don't worry about that- but do keep a couple of breast pads in your bag just in case!

None here, either! I definitely have the dried colostrum, but nothing I need a pad for or anything. With my first, I didn't have any leakage, and nursed for 19 months so I don't think there's a correlation!

This is my 4th.
I leaked like a faucet with #1. A little with #2. None with #3 and none with this one.
I have breastfed all of my kids for at least a year.
I always have too much milk once baby is here and supply comes in.
I definitely would not worry, it doesn't mean anything! Once baby comes, your body will produce what baby needs

This is my 4th, and so far no leaking yet. I never leaked with any of my 3 boys either. And, I had plenty of colostrum when they came and my milk came in very quickly, usually the next day after delivery. I also was able to nurse for about a year with all of them, and they all sort of self-weaned and lost intrest at that point. I never had any supply issues up until they self-weaned, either! Rest assured that there's no connection between leaking in pregnancy and future milk supply or BFing success. Just be happy that you are escaping this side effect of pregnancy!!!!

I didn't leak at all with DD and this time a few weeks ago I felt a little wet sensation but only for a few days and could hardly see anything. Not now though.

I leaked at all different times with all my boys. With one I leaked as early as 4 months, another not until 7 months and I breastfed all of my boys. I haven't started leaking at all with Kara and I'm 7 months now but I'm not concerned... I'm enjoying not having to wear a bra with pads to bed just yet lol.

Don't be concerned at all! I never leaked at all with DD, and this time around I only leak at night, and it doesn't happen all too often and it definitely is never more than the size of a nickle!
If has absolutely nothing to do with how your milk supply will be after the baby comes!
I'm sure you will have plenty of leaking to deal with at that time!
