I have it daily. Even multiple times a day. I usually take tums but it rarely works. I am so sick and tired of it!!! How are you ladies getting rid of it??

Sometimes a really cold glass of milk will help (either with ice in it or stuck in the freezer for a little bit). Mine gets so bad that if I'm laying down, I have horrible pain and almost throw up. I get heartburn no matter what I eat so sticking to a bland diet does nothing for me... unless water isn't considered bland LOL.

Usually milk helps mine. But sometimes it makes it worse. Then I just endure it. I heard that you can take tums for it but I haven't tried those.

I get it several times a day and it is really uncomfortable. No foods or drinks seem to work for me (milk, bread, ect). Tums is really the only thing that does work for me, BUT I have to take a handful of them and then in a couple hours the heartburn is back and I have to take three or four more tums.

I take Zantac. I still get it coming back up, but it doesn't burn. Tums weren't touching it for me.

I get to the point where only Gaviscon works, my previous OB recommended it as safe to take during pregnancy.

It is like a soothing balm in all honesty, it doesn't taste great though. Who ever thought of mint and aniseed as a good mix? LOL but I see the US gets cherry flavour so it might taste much better than what we get locally.

I get it all the time everyday and no matter what I eat I get it! I usually take tums when its real bad and then just small sips of cold water tend to help me for a moment. I will also take zantac when I remember but I dosent work all the time for me. Tums usually work but not for to long and I usually take the tums when I go to bed because it likes to flair up again once I lay down

Ugh the heartburn is so annoying! I take extra strength tums as soon as I feel like I *might* get heartburn. If I catch it early, the tums usually help. If I wait too late or don't have any on me at the time, tums won't touch it and I just have to wait it out.

I must admit I found the Tums pretty useless, they don't seem to last very long at all. But we don't get extra strength here so that might be why.

I just take Tums. I've already gone through a whole Costco sized bottle this pregnancy already.

My Dr REALLY believes in taking an acid reducer daily to stop the heart burn even coming. I take Zantac (the generic of it is only a few dollars at walmart) If it gets really bad after i eat something silly then i do take some liquid chalky stuff to take the edge off.

I have severe reflux, even before pregnancy. The little flap in my esophagus that keeps the acid in your stomach doesn't close all the way for me, it's been an issue since I was a baby.

I'm on 40 mg of Prilosec each and every day. On really bad days (i.e. Mexican food, or things like that) I take an extra 20 mg if needed.

I only get it when I lie down in bed, so I have been trying to not eat after 6pm and also drinking a glass of milk an hour before bed. It helps a bit, but some nights I still have to sleep propped up. There's an old wives tale that bad heartburn means your baby has lots of hair. I have had it in all my pregnancies and all my babies were bald

Tums and milk are my go too but if it gets really bad I take gaviscon but I try to avoid the gaviscon as it can cause water retention and high blood pressure if taken to much while pregnant (my friend had the pharmacist tell her that when she was trying to find something for me to take while I was stuck at work dying from the worst heartburn of my life)

I have had heartburn 3 times in the last week - week and a half lasting from 2-3 days each time. Last night I woke with a real burning sensation on my throat and across my chest. Finally managed to get to sleep. Had it real bad this morning still, ate cornflakes and milk and a cup of tea and it released some of the gases. Still have it but it helped relieve the pain associated with it. Going to have a Ba Swallow at the Xray department tomorrow. Not sure what it's called but it's nil by mouth. I think I need a permanent fix though.

I never had heartburn with Bella and it's like NO other this time! My dr. told me to take zantac because Tums would only work for an hour and then it would be back. Milk was the same way. Zantac is my best friend these days

Tums has been working great for me! I'm surprised actually, i'll pop a tums and it seems to instantly help. I have read to make sure you don't drink water with the tums.
