Just wondering...for those of you that have said you have lost pieces of your plug and what not... what does it look like? I had some greenish tinted snot like stuff today when I wiped and am wondering if that may be what it was? Thank you!

It sounds like the mucous plug to me. If you are brave you could google pictures of it and compare them to what you seen.

Just hearing the word snot in your description automatically makes me think mucous plug. Sounds very likely that you lost a piece of it. Your description is an accurate one. It is a thick stringy sticky mucous. Very similar to snot.

It's a lot like you described. Snotty, mine was a yellowy green. Sounds like what you had

Don't be freaked out though - it doesn't mean labor is imminent. Mucus plugs regenerate as well.

Grrrrr I just typed a reply and then my page didnt load correctly when I posted it!

Okay to say it again in a shorter version...

IMO there is no mistaking when it is a chunk of mucous plug! I've lost small pieces a on a few different occasions, and it has always looked like a small, dry, greenish-yellowish glob. I wish I had a better way to describe it! It was not anything like my normal discharge!
