My boss has a nice boat, and last minute, he's decided to take us out for a picnic lunch tomorrow at the lake. My team is small, there are only 6 of us altogether. He'll have an inner tube for dragging behind the boat (not for pregnant ladies, bummer!) but also people may go swimming. I LOVE swimming, especially in lakes, and especially when it's so nice out!But my swimsuit is a two-piece - that's a lot of belly hanging out... and these are coworkers, only one of which is a good friend.

Should I just go for lunch and forego the swim? Or suck it up and let the belly hang out there? WWYD?

If you would wear a two piece with co-workers when not pregnant than you should not even be asking! Go for it!! I LOVE seeing pregnant bellies!

I agree if you would wear a two piece around them when you aren't pregnant then there is no reason not to wear one when you are pregnant. If it was me I would go and plan on swimming.

I rocked a bikini until 32 weeks in public (my stretch marks came out after that so I stopped). If you aren't comfortable wear a tank top over your bathing suit. I did that for my daughters first swim lesson because I wasn't sure how parents would feel and it worked great.

I was going to suggest the same! If you're not completely comfortable in the bikini, put on a tank and maybe even a pair of gym shorts? But I give another vote for rocking the bikini!

i don't see a problem wit being uncovered (though my maternity suit is a full coverage tankini) The only think i'm worried about is getting in and out of the boat. I'm thinking back to the times i've swam out the back of a boat... and it took a lot of muscle getting in and out. Not sure i could do it this pregnant.

Go for it, I rock a bikini every day at my community pool. Just make sure you put on alot of sunblock theres lots of tummy to be covered. I would also make sure the boat has a ladder that can reach the water so you can climb back in afterwards alot easier.
