I've recently added fish oil to my regimen - both for general health and for possibly helping with TTC. I've had 3 miscarriages and no obvious problem except for hypothyroidism.. however that was being treated at the time of my last miscarriage so maybe there is something else.
I've read so much about the benefits of fish oil - helps with autoimmune issues, good source of bioavailable forms of omega 3s (EPA and DHA), might reduce NK cell activity and makes your blood thinner (not a good thing if you're already on blood thinners).
I do NOT take the fish oil that comes from the fish liver (cod liver oil) - it has high levels of vits A and D which could be toxic in high amounts and vit A is already in so many healthy foods.. but I do take a vit D supplement on the side because most of us are deficient and it's supposed to help with autoimmune issues which I suspect I have.
Anyone else take it?

I do take fish oil as well! What kind are you taking? I have tried a couple different kinds, I have a hard time finding me that does not make me burp up that fishy taste.
I heard that if you're taking capsules, it helps to freeze them before taking, that way it takes longer for it to break down in your GI tract and less likely to get the burps..

I actually want to start taking it. DH usually does and was just saying the other day that we didn't have any more.
I remember seeing a commercial for a certain brand that digests further down in your system so you don't get the fish burps... but for the life of me, I can't remember the name of the brand!
So I have a question. My prenatal I take says it contains fish oil. Is that a sufficient source or would it be something to take on top of the dosage in the prenatal?
Judy - I see your fish oils comes in a liquid form vs a pill. The thought drinking fish likd kind of grosses me out. Is it like drinking cough medicine but lemon flavored?

Yeah exactly like that. It doesn't even really feel like oil. You can always chase it with something, or even mix it into a smoothie if you don't like it.. but I always just take it straight.
