Hmm interesting:
Caffeine May Alter Women's Estrogen Levels - Drugs.com MedNews

There has been a lot of back and forth as to whether it changes anything for TTC or not and some docs say none, some say moderation, and some say don't worry about it. Just an interesting article.

Thanks for sharing this article. It's true that the "great caffeine debate" goes in all directions. About a month before we started TTC I cut out all caffeine. My cycles got a lot shorter after that (I used to have long cycles), though I can't say for sure what caused it since I also started prenatals and stopped drinking alcohol. Eventually I started drinking green tea again, though I'm still avoiding black tea and coffee and drink predominantly peppermint or chamomile tea and water.

I feel a little guilty if I have more than one cup of green tea, but then again pregnant women here in Japan drink it all the time, and "westerners" are always talking about green tea like it's a miracle tonic. Wouldn't it be great to just have definitive answers on all this?

Yeah, I don't know which studies to believe. For myself, I have tried to reduce my caffeine intake, but I have given up too many of my vices to completely eliminate this one, at least for now.

I'm a caffeine *****! Need it, got to have it! I had a million other reasons for why I couldn't get pregnant that there was no way I was going to let caffeine be one either lol. Cut all the hard stuff out when you're pregnant, enjoy the time you have while ttc. Just my personal opinion though.

I had two cups of coffee every morning, and a soda maybe every other day while ttc. Took me about 5 months to conceive, which I think is pretty normal.
