Post your recipes and pictures here. This one threw me for a loop at first so here's a link I found to start you off: Maria's Cookbook

We are going to try Brazilian BBQ, it isn't a totally new concept to us since my dad has made it before and has the giant sword like skewers needed, and a intresting chicken recipe I found on google..

BRAZILIAN DESSERT

Read more about it at Cooks.com - Recipe - Brazilian Dessert
Content Copyright © 2012 Cooks.com - All rights reserved.

1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 pan of water

Place unopened can of condensed milk in pan. Cover with water and bring to a boil and cook for 3/4 of an hour. Makes a caramel dessert to be eaten with a spoon

the can i hadsaid "do not heat in can" I cooked mine maybe 90 min and it taste really good very rich and think it would be great as a sauce over something. We are dipping babanas and apples in it.

from Augie's site

Brazilian Desserts: Doce de leite
Doce de leite condensado
For this delicious - and very sweet! - dessert all you need is a can of sweetened condensed milk.

1 can sweetened condensed milk

Remove label from can. Put it in a large pan with 4 quarts of water. Bring the water to a boil and simmer at low heat for 2 hours. Remove can from pan and let cool. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours. Open can on both ends and push the thick caramel out. It should be cylindrical and a golden color. Spoon it onto your plate or cut into slices to serve. It looks and tastes like the "dulce de leche" from Argentina and other Latin American countries. Of course, in the U.S., the Eagle Brand Condensed Milk can label says specifically NOT to heat the unopened can...and we don't want to be liable for any mishaps

Since it stated on the can not to heat in the can, did you transfer it to a different container or ignore the can?

nope I figured it was a CYA type thing and that the pressure was important in the cooking. Also that it was proof this had been done before.

I found it hard to find a good chicken one that my family would eat..

Edit: I'm pretty sure that the rules on the cans are because it could explode and that the BPA and other plastics leech out of the lining when heated.

this is the Chicken strogenoff!

you can do this recipe with steak or chicken!!!

1 lb chicken
pepper coat
seasoning salt coat
garlic powder coat
Worcestershire sauce coat
1/4 c of beef broth
mushrooms
4 Tablespoons of tomato sauce
1 cup sour cream
ground red pepper to taste
egg noodles

so get chicken breast (or steak) cut thinly and then coat with all seasonings and Worcestershire sauce let sit for 10-15 mins. then put in a pan and pan fry the meat until cooked. add the beef broth and mushrooms and cook... then add remainder ingredients! should be salty! because once you put over noodles then you will need that salt!

Tonight we had Brazilian BBQ, Dh did Pork AND Beef.
All you do is stick the beef on the sword then put coarse salt on it and let it sit, then bbq on a low heat (We have a charcoal bbq) Then shave the meat off and eat mmm We found it a little saltly, the pork for some reason tasted saltier even though we put the same amount of salt on it.
Brazilian Barbecue - Grab your sword, light the fire and get grilling

I also made a Brazilian rice, which was a huge hit, for white rice it was REALLY good, next time I will try it with brown. Brazilian White Rice Recipe - Allrecipes.com

I also made a "Brazilian" salad dressing, I googled it and almost nothing came up except for this: DH liked it I was impartial to it. The name of Brazilian salad dressings? - Yahoo! Answers

We also decided to have Pisco with it since it is south america (SIL borught it back from Chile for us, it is the coolest bottle)

So I made Brazilian Chicken tonight, if I made it again in the future I would use coconut cream instead of milk as it was really watery and needed a little water and cornstarch to make it more saucy. Dh didn't like it and Orion didn't like his (I baked his without the strong spices, jalapenos and tomatoes) I did like it but found it a little bit bland for my tastes.

Brigadeiro

Brigadeiro Recipe - Allrecipes.com

I'm not sure that mine came out quite right. They are still pretty chewy, more like a caramel. Went back and read more of the reviews and sounds like I might not have cooked it long enough. I could see the valley at the bottom of the pan, but it wasn't coming away from the sides of the pan yet. I rolled mine in powdered sugar.

Bife a Parmigiana, garlic and olive oil pasta, and creamed corn.

I thought the meat was okay, but Chris seemed to really like it.
