I was in and out of the hospital Tuesday and Wednesday. My least fav doctor was on call. I lost my mucus plug and contractions had picked up wednesday evening. only every 20 mins for a while. Suddenly 3 am. Every 10 minutes. Timed for an hr and they got to every 6 minutes we rushed to the hospital. Got there at 4:30am. 3cms. They Gave me Nubane around 5am. We suspected back labor. I slept between contractions, until 6:30am when I called a nurse because I felt that my knee was hurting really bad.. she came in and jokingly said "Well.. we don't do knees here, but we deliver babies!" So I asked her if an epidural was possible as the pain was pretty bad. She told me she'd check me and then let me know if it was possible depending on dilation. She checked, looked at me, and then said. "Well.. we can't give you an epidural. But.. you can have a baby now. You're 9cm". My eyes bugged out. My man had just got back from grabbing a coffee, when he heard the news. They quickly shifted me beds, wheeled me out of triage room and into a delivery room. So we get there and thankfully the dr I dislike went off call, and a new one was coming on call. The dr I very much Liked. I was pleased and relieved. We waited about 15 or 20 minutes. He came and I was fully dilated in a moment. He didn't have time to change so he threw something that looked like a housecoat/apron on. He let me start pushing, and they noticed my bladder wass full. (Pissed on the doctor lol) and so he got a catheder and tried to put it in but I felt the contraction pushing him down. He then noticed my bag of waters still in tact and bulging so he broke it, and it splashed upward and onto him. After that it was 6 pushes and the baby came right out, cried immediately and did not require any special attention. He was healthy, and beautiful, my baby boy. He was 6lbs 11oz, born at 7:30am exactly. 3.5 hrs of labor.. and he is the most content baby ever. I am so proud of him. We instantly fell in love, he is a great eater and a very beautiful boy. He was posterior but he was worth all the hemmorhoids and back pain hehe.
