We're in a 3 bedroom 1555 sqft military housing. I love our house just not enough room BUT thankfully we've got one kick *** walk in closet. So we've started splitting it in half. One half is ours and the other half is his. The bassinette will go next to our bed (my side of course) and his crib will go in that space once we get it out of the box.

I'm going to get some wall decals to put up on the wall but for now this is the start.

Still have to move more of our clothes into our oldest closet since she detests hangers lol Unfortunately his uniforms and gear get priority of our side of the closet :/

Bookish likes this.

Thanks for posting this! What are you going to use when baby gets bigger? Will you be able to move a crib in, or a pack n play, or is baby going to sleep with you?

We are actually ets'ing within the next 7 months so for now I'm not really stressing over it. We will co-sleep for the majority of the time and use the 'nursery' for when we want adult time. Hopefully when we move back home to OR we'll find a house big enough. I'm honestly trying VERY hard to not loose hope in a bigger place because my anxiety will take over.

However when we first moved here to this current house in 2010, A2 was still in a crib and was only 14 months old. She slept in the same closet till she was about 26 months. She really only used the closet for naptime and bedtime. That was it. We used a a space in the living room to be her play area. And now she's rooming with her brother S2 and a bunk bed. Like I've told the kids we make due with what we have and I'll always make sure they have a small quiet spot that is theres.

I don't think the crib will fit the closet how I want it too, so I'm not sure what we are going to do now. The only sure way to see is to take the longest end and give it a try, but that requires a lot of cleaning, reorginizing, and then trying to squeeze it in. I might be 1/2" too narrow though. I could turn it the other direction, but then it takes up most of the closet! If we put our crib at the end of our bed where my desk is, we will have about 15" between the crib and the bed, plus it would be by a drafty window. Sigh.

That's how we might have to put the crib in too. I wanted it across the back of the closet so I would still have room to hang my clothes and baby stuff, but that significantly reduces to room to do that! Its looking great though!

I think this is brilliant! I wish I could do the same but our closet is lame. I'm settling with crib in the corner and a room divider.
