To be honest I shop for whatever is the best 'value' most of the time (not necessarily the cheapest). So if 4 bananas were $2 but 4 organic bananas were $2.10 I'd get organic. I prefer to buy organic or local fruits & veg if I can, but I'm not strict with it.
I do when it's cheaper/easier/close in price. I get some of our food at BJ's and they have large containers of organic spinach that are cheaper than the regular greens at the grocery store so I get the organic. Same with apples, etc. I buy organic whole milk for Genevieve, but DH and I just drink the hormone-free 1% from BJ's.
