like you can't think about anything else? Like you're just waiting for something to go wrong?

Ugh... why did I test so early? Is it just me, am I just an eternal pessimist?

I once again am a POAS-a-holic! I guess when your TTC your anticipating seeing those words or beautiful lines. Totally normal how you feel I am the same way trust me. I am trying to start early this time not to be so controlling so to speak. I would really like to try and enjoy this pregnancy before my high risk drama starts.

In a word...YES! But I'm really making an effort to relax and not let those anxious feelings get to me. I love this saying, and have it on my desk where I can see it all day:

Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles,
it empties today of its strength.

I am so anxious too. I'm having a hard time sleeping because my mind is running all the time. I'm so worried about something happening. The first ultrasound feels so far away.... I overanalyze everything. Sorry for the TMI but seriously I'm scared to poop! I worried about cramping my stomach and feel like its going to push my period out. Ugh, I'm so weird!!!!!!

When does this anxiety go away?

I'm very anxious about it, since I've had 5 m/c within 8 months, I'm terrified that it'll happen again. I just pray that this one will be strong enough to withstand whatever evils my body may have in store for it.

I'm sure every Mama is different, and I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but I don't think it ever really does...it just changes.

We had a few years of infertility and then a really rocky start to my last pregnancy, so I was a basketcase at first. I kept waiting for that rainbows-and-unicorns moment when I could be blissful and glow-y, but for me it never really came. I was always worried about the next thing...getting out of the first trimester, the big u/s, viability, term, the birth, etc. Then Claire was born and I had a whole new set of worries!

I asked my Mom if she ever stopped worrying and she told me "Even though you are 30, I still worry about you every single day." I think we just have to learn to manage the worries somehow?

OMG! I am so glad I'm not the only one, and that you were brave enough to post this because I wasn't going to say haha. I have the exact same fear, yes it's ridiculous, but you're not alone! Earlier I needed to sneeze & tried to 'sneeze softly'...so silly. I swear all of this worrying does more harm than anything I'm worrying about could do...so I'm really trying hard to take my mind off of things & relax. Keeping busy is all that helps me.

And KMH, that is a beautiful saying, and very true. Thanks for sharing, I may have to pop that up in my kitchen

This is my seventh pregnancy and I still freak out and overanalize everything! I had a mc with my first pregnancy and then went on to have three successful pregnancies. Then I had a surprise pregnancy which resulted in a mc. My last pregnancy - I was on edge constantly. Even after he was born. This time around I am the same way. I want to enjoy it, but I am too scared to enjoy. Maybe after the first semester is over, we can relax more.

to everyone!!!

Thanks for all he advice ladies. Melissa your thoughts were wonderful, I know my mom would say the exact same thing! I'm defnitely trying not to worry about everything, it's just so strange because I've never missed a period...its an out of body experience thinking it won't show!

I am too....and I tested REALLY early so I keep thinking this is going to be a chemical. I am still HPTing just to see the line get darker and darker. I don't know what I'll do with myself when it finally is darker than the control line Right now I'm just 9 dpo and have been + testing since 6....gahh. I've got to find something else to do with myself.

I think it's normal to be worried. I honestly think the First Trimester is the worst just from that standpoint. Once I hit the 2nd trimester I still worried, just not as much. I think it's because at this point it feel so out of your control. I keep wanting to call the doctor's office to have them take another beta so I can make sure my numbers are still increasing. I'm sure you'll be fine!!

I'm kind of on edge too because I had a mc with my first pregnancy (would have been a honeymoon baby, got pregnant with Genevieve two months later) and I had some spotting that then turned into the mc. I had spotting early on with this one so even though it stopped I keep feeling like something could go really wrong. I think I'll feel better after the u/s in two weeks... I'm not normally much of a worrier.
